We had a lovely weeks stay at pentillie cottage, very clean, comfortable, charming and homely, and has everything you need for a perfect stay. There is a small garden area at the back of the cottage that overlooks a field and is very private, and it was lovely to sit out some evenings and watch the sun setting, small birds dancing on a wire, and occasionally see a few sheep. The village is beautifully kept and is lovely to walk round, lots of greenery and flowers, lovely small park for children, village shop and post office, beautiful old church, also village pub serving excellent food. We had days out in saint mawes, Truro, visited the lost gardens of Heligan, also took a boat trip to Falmouth, and also had picnics and spent days on 2 lovely beaches. We will definitely be back....

We were a family group with adult children and partner and we had the best time in this cottage. Traditional Cornish rustic cottage with wonky wooden floors and lots of charm. Very comfortable and cosy. We booked the first evening in local pub. The food was really good and the walk through the village was a pleasure and an adventure on the way back in the dark. We had a day in St Ives and swam in the sea, a visit to Fowey and surfing lessons at beautiful Fistral beach was fabulous. A boat trip from St Mawes to Falmouth was fun. All of these places are not too far away for a day or afternoon. We had breakfast at the Hidden Hut before our drive home. It was raining but a pleasure and beautiful. No Feast nights when we were there but I would definitely try to book another time. Amazing food at the Standard Inn a few miles away, lovely inside and garden, was a real treat but you need to book. My favourite place, the Porthmeor Beach Cafe in St Ives has the best food and views next to the waves. Also Gilly Beach cafe in Falmouth has great food, lovely tables and views right on the beach. Back at the cottage, we watched a movie on a projector on the sitting room wall and played Scrabble by the woodburner. Pretty outside terrace with table and field view, if you have the weather. A great cottage and base for a lovely week in a Cornwall. ...

We loved the location of the house in a peaceful village, it was easy to get to the main roads for access anywhere in the St Austell/Truro area. It was very well equipped and clean. The house is fantastically wonky which was easy for us but possibly not if you have mobility issues for the upstairs rooms and split levels. We’d definitely be back to stay again, however we’d need to request a change to the bed in the main room- it’s pretty, but super rickety so noisy with any turning movement. ...

Great location and very comfortable cottage, we would stay again if it wasn't for all the steps within the property, not a cottage for someone with mobility issues.

A very interesting cottage to stay in, not at all run of the mill. A warning about the steps upstairs out of every bedroom onto the small landing. Very cosy, close to all amenities, good pub food 10 minutes away (huge portions but they very kindly give you a choice of sizes) and welcoming and local shop has everything! Make sure you make full use of the patio! Amazingly peaceful watching the lambs (and sometimes close up), wonderful view and it gets the sun right to sundown - beautiful....
