A delightfully quiet and secluded converted coach house. Simple but perfectly formed with good facilities. Excellent hosts too.

A beautiful ‘alive’ village with a great pub and close to great beaches and interesting locations.

Lovely white cottage in a charming Cornish village. Very well equipped. Beautiful, spacious and secluded garden with two terraces. Perfect for a couple. Friendly pub and shop nearby, as well as some beautiful coastal walks. Just perfect!

Very clean and comfortable cottage within easy reach of the coastal path (no car needed which was great). A great place to explore the delightful Roseland Peninsula

Wonderful stay at the Cart House. It's small, but perfectly formed, and the garden is lovely.

Property very comfortable and excellent facilities, Hosts very helpful and pleasant manner.

On (slightly early) arrival, very friendly & helpful welcome from Sam and a much appreciated gesture of a bottle of Prosecco. It can be difficult to find realistically priced accommodation for two. The Cart House is compact, but perfectly adequate for a couple, has been converted to a good standard and is well equipped. The generous amount of outside space is a particularly attractive feature, especially in good weather, which we were lucky enough to enjoy. The BBQ is a nice touch - and was duly utilised. Veryan also has quite a lot to recommend it as a base and we would consider returning sometime in the future. Well-stocked local stores. We might have brought fewer provisions with us and shopped more locally had we known how useful the shop is. Good selection of wines.

Lovely stay. Great location. Pub and shop nearby . Pip and Sam made us feel welcome and left us to our own devices Outside garden space Lovely with BBQ and table and chairs

The whole holiday was wonderful- the cart house, Veryan, the New Inn, Carne Beach and Portloe all excelled expectations, the weather too was wonderful- we would happily return.

We had a lovely holiday at The Cart House. Although, on arrival, it felt very small we soon realised that it was just right for the two of us for a week and as we were fortunate enough to have good weather, we spent most of our days out and about anyway. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked well and having hot water on demand was great! We only cooked our own evening meal twice in the week, partly because we weren't confident at using a microwave combination oven and partly because there were other places to eat. The nearby beaches are lovely, the walks around the locality are beautiful and we made the most of the local facilities such as the pub, the well-stocked shop and the visiting fish and chip van!

One big thank you to Sam & Pip for creating such a thoughtful holiday home with the most amazing private garden and patio which is the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the gardens and hidden beaches around the area of Veryan. We loved Carne beach which is so close to the property and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are not to be missed together with Trelissick and Glendurgan via the King Harry ferry. St Mawes is picture perfect as is Portscaho in a very different way. We found the local community very welcoming and informative. We will definitely go back to the Cart House, Prosecco and divine local chocolate made it special on arrival. THANKS ??

We found the cottage perfect for two people with modern and perfectly clean equipment and furnishings. As the owners are ‘next door’ we were looked after very well. The main benefits are total privacy, south facing patio, big bedroom with walk in wardrobe and fabulous shower with dual (fixed and detachable) shower heads. We loved it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would love to stay there again.

Nice big private garden. Although there is no window in the bedroom, it was nice to watch the birds through the skylight. Heating worked well, though not very efficient in the living room/kitchen because the sofa is large and blocks the radiator. Overall a nice property for two. Nice village with friendly pub and the shop in the village is very good, and only a few minutes walk.

The Cart House is a small cottage for two people in a very quiet spot. Cosy to return to in cooler weather when we stayed, I think it would be fabulous in summer when it would be possible to dine al fresco in the beautiful and secluded garden. It’s possible to walk to Carne Beach straight from the door, and there are other lovely walks nearby. There’s the fabulous Thirstea Co trailer serving hot drinks, cakes and ice cream in Carne Beach car park at weekends in season. Veryan is a lovely village and the local pub is a very short walk from the cottage. There is also a convenient little village shop. Da Bara in the Garden is an awesome bakery and coffee shop, and is only a five minute drive away at the Roseland Plant Centre. The comfortable bed and peace and quiet ensures an excellent night’s sleep. Very friendly and helpful owners.

A lovely little cottage, very clean and comfortable, with a lovely good sized garden. We loved being able to walk out through the French doors and sit outside when the weather was warm enough. The owners were nearby and very helpful if we needed help. Veryan is a lovely village in a good location for visiting other places in the area. Pendower and Carne beaches, Melinsy Mill, Portloe, Veryan Green are all within easy walking distance of the cottage. The pub was only a couple of minutes walk from the cottage and the village stores is a well stocked shop.

Amazing cottage for 2 people in a great location! The cottage and the garden space is very private and beautifully maintained. I was pleasantly surprised at how secluded it feels, with the cottage and garden facing away from the main house. The garden in particular is a fantastic place to relax after a day on the beach. The cottage is well equipped and very spacious for 2 people- it is very comfortable and tastefully decorated and furnished. Sam is a very welcoming host but non-intrusive and is always available to help with any queries, and the prosecco and chocolate on arrival was a particularly lovely touch! Although there is no official parking, we never had any issues getting parked nearby. Veryan is a lovely village with a great local pub, and we would definitely recommend going to the 'Burger Shed' which is open on Tuesday/ Wednesday evenings for a takeaway burger or stir fry for a casual dinner in one night! We would definitely stay again and recommend the Cart cottage to couples looking for a romantic break away in Cornwall!

Lovely cottage for 2 in an excellent location on Roseland Peninsula - seemed a relatively quiet area compared to other parts of Cornwall Clean and bright with pretty garden outlook Particularly good for walking straight from the door to Carne and Pendower beaches National Trust properties and boat trips a short drive away Melinsey Mill - good for tea and cake
