Beautiful cottage and a fantastic location for us. We enjoyed walking about the local area and St Agnes has a host of interesting dining and shopping options. In terms of the cottage itself the location was superb. Quiet and 'out in the country' and yet a very short walk from all the local amenities. You do need to be prepared to walk up and down hills however! The lane itself is very narrow with a stream running alongside so drive carefully! The supermarket delivery van was able to navigate it safely however so it shouldn't be reason not to book. The large cottage garden was lovely, well looked after and had a variety of seating and eating areas. The cottage itself was very well appointed, spacious and had just about everything we needed. The internet was good, and the outside utility shower room was really valued. It would have been nice to have some tea bags already there but there was a delicious fresh loaf, scones, butter, cream, milk and jam so that's a very small point in the scheme of things! One of my petty cottage bug bears is poor selection glasses and cups - this however was definitely not the case here! A lot of glassware suited to every sort of beverage and separate coffee and tea mugs :-) Overall the cottage was excellent if expensive. I'd be very happy to stay there again though.

Fabulous cottage. Within walking distance of the beach and coastal path as well as some fabulous places to eat and drink. The village itself has most of the things that you need, but larger supermarkets also within a short drive. The summer house with its TV and mini fridge was a firm favourite with the kids and the garden was a beautiful place to relax in the sun. The addition of the outside laundry and shower room was really handy and the kitchen was well stocked. St Agnes is a gorgeous place to visit and well located to explore other Cornish sights. We would definitely return!

Great cottage, well equipped in a good location to walk to pubs, shops and the beach and coastal paths. Not so good if you don't want to keep walking up and down hills. Quieter then some of the other resorts around which was good.

The description of this property is ridiculously over-written. It's a perfectly pleasant, well-finished cottage but not the palace it's portrayed as. We booked this because another property fell through and bit the bullet on the cost. However, by any measure, it's grossly overpriced. We know there's a supply and demand problem in Cornwall so we knew prices would be high but this was exorbitant. St Agnes is an attractive village with good shops but there's always heavy traffic because it's dominated by the car. The walking in the area is fabulous and there are stunning views from the cliffs. We would go back to the area. We'd give the property 5 stars but it was such poor value for money we only give it 3.

Thanks so much for taking the time to let us have your thoughts and we're so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the lovely walks the local area has to offer. We're obviously disappointed that you felt our online description waxed a little too lyrically about the cottage and area; without doubt the description is our main marketing tool and therefore our shop window, where of course we're proud to highlight the lovely properties we market. However we do try to balance this with being as accurate and transparent as we can so that guests know exactly what to expect on arrival. We do a lot of research when pricing our rentals and many factors are considered including property size, facilities on offer, location and so on. We believe that this lovely cottage is priced fairly whilst being competitive with other properties in the vicinity. Tressa, Customer Support

Dale Cottage was a huge hit with our party and we would not hesitate to return. Beautiful, quaint, and a comforting feeling of being far away and yet close enough to everything you need.
