The photos give a very accurate impression of the property. Everything is finished to a very high standard and we found the beds and pillows extremely comfortable. The fully equipped kitchen provided extras you don’t always get in a holiday home - tea, coffee, cooking oil, foil, dishwasher tablets etc. Thoughtful extras like a Bluetooth speaker and board games really made us feel at home. The location is perfect, set back from the main road slightly, but with gorgeous views over the estuary. Lots of great walks in the area with plenty of good cafes and pubs within walking distance.

Beautiful place with ever changing view.

The Old Stables was perfect in everyway. Spotless, beautiful and sublimely comfortable. A delicious cream tea greeted us on arrival and glorious sea views were revealed when we opened the curtains the following morning. Will definitely come again

This cottage is fabulous. Everything is of a high standard, spotlessly clean and makes for a really lovely comfortable stay. The views from all of the windows are wonderful. The owners are very friendly and make you feel really welcome. We would definitely return.

if want a relaxing holiday this is the cottage to have, every thing about it is perfect

Fantastic property in a lovely location

The property far exceeded our expectations, superb location and stunning views, would definitely return

A really lovely, well-presented, unique property, in a great location with a stunning view

The cottage is beautifully furnished, is in a great location and sitting in the living room looking at the estuary is so relaxing.

The photos and description do not do The Old Stables justice, the views over the estuary to Appledore are superb as is the location for exploring the area not to mention the four pubs all serving excellent food within easy walking distance

The Old Stables had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. When we arrived we were blown away by the views from nearly every window. We were so lucky with the weather and could sit out on the balcony every morning and evening to enjoy the view and watch the tide slowly coming in or out. Instow also has the most wonderful sunsets! The village is small but has a wonderful coffee shop/ deli nearby and a few lovely local pubs and eateries. The beach isn’t for swimming but great for sunbathing and walking. We are looking forward to returning next year.
