The location is very tranquil and it was lovely at night to be in silence and darkness. The stars looked terrific in the darkness. It is within easy driving distance of the long attractive Devon coast, the moors and the the city of Plymouth. There are excellent places to drive to for meals out, or the patio is first class for summer evening al fresco dining “at home”. We would recommend Kitley Close and will stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at Kitley Close. A simply beautiful house in a magical and peaceful location. So lucky with the glorious mid-September weather, too. Very happy memories made in this very special location.

A grand cottage in a glorious setting. Very well furnished and equipped. Spacious, tranquil and light. Views over the fields at sunset are amazing. Visiting deer are also a treat! So many beaches nearby, although we would have been happy just to holiday in the grounds of the estate itself.

A superb family holiday in such a great house/location! The estate is well managed and the woodland walks are great to explore down to the estuary. Ben's farm shop is on your doorstep to give you that loval countryside feel. A home from home and we would 100% return!

We are a family made up of 3 generations - age range from 11 to 75 and not one complaint from anyone. Perfect location stunning views. Beautiful house with everything that you could possible need for a lovely restful holiday. Well equipped kitchen, really lovely comfortable beds, spacious lounging areas. It is always special to spend time with our family but to do so in such a wonderful setting made it even more special. Looking forward to returning next year.

Spike and Sarah (the owners) were very welcoming, helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings and extremely well equipped. Would thoroughly recommend and hope to return at some point.

We had a fabulous, relaxing and action-packed holiday in this beautiful house on the tranquil Kitley Estate and were privileged to be the first guests! Sarah and Spike were friendly and welcoming hosts and have kitted the house out thoughtfully and comfortably so we really felt at home. Views from the terrace were amazing after BBQ suppers with lovely sunsets. Our dog Dylan was in heaven too! P.s. we had some great dinners out too: highly recommend The Oyster Shack at Bigbury & Riverfield - book ahead! Thank you again, Sarah & Spike.
