What a wonderful cottage. Very comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. Wow! What a find will definitely be back

A quiet and comfortable stay in this cottage, and handy for us to support the local pub too!

Little Southwood has a lovely feel to it, a mixture of olde world and super modern styling. It has been put together with love by the owners and is kept immaculately clean by the housekeeper. We were always able to park our car just across from the cottage on the road. The village is quiet and we had great nights’ sleep. We loved the proximity of “The Coach & Horses” pub for our delicious evening meals. The hosts Olly and Nikki run a great hostelry! We also used the village’s community shop open 9am - 3 pm each day for eassentials (and lovely local fudge). Everyone we met in the village was friendly and I am sure we will return to do things we didn’t have time for - a boat to Lundy island and the South Devon steam railway.

We had an amazing stay at Little Southwood! The cottage was the perfect home from home, comfortable and cosy. The welcome hamper we received on arrival was a lovely touch. The housekeeper, who lived over the road, was friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for anything more, we honestly didn’t want to come home. The cottage is in a lovely little village with a local shop and pub. We only ate at the pub once, the owner was very friendly and the food was good ‘pub grub’. It’s unfortunate that the owners have taken the decision to no longer accept pets as we would have returned again and again, our puppy loved it as much as we did!

A very homely cottage escape in an ideal location to explore the North of Devon. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful cottage which was perfect to celebrate our anniversary, calm and relaxed atmosphere. Close to lots of different attractions such as Instow and Hartland Point. Quite and friendly village which was perfect for relaxing.

A very comfortable cosy cottage ideal for couples in a quiet village.

Cottage is beautifully decorated and loads of personal touches, very welcoming

This is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. Really comfortable, well furnished with everything you need and more for a holiday. High quality bedding and towels, great bathroom and kitchen, and a lovely outside area bathed in sunlight. Very quiet location and really responsive and friendly owners.
