Well we just had to return to this stunning property and location.Deer,Buzzards, stoats, squirrels,I could go on, an animal lovers paradise. Strolling along the Camel Trail to Snails Pace for lunch just perfect .Good location for travelling to other places,Harlyn Bay,Daymer Bay our favourites and Rick Steins Cornish Arms worth a visit.Very dog friendly but booking advised. We will return again, think we've found our Nirvana !! .

We loved this cottage and the peaceful location. Set in vast woodland you see only wildlife, its literally off the beaten track. The cottage was well equipped, especially the kitchen, although no microwave which I find useful. Great walks straight from the cottage, although come prepared for ticks as we found quite a few on our dog and my husband after a walk in Shell woods.

Beautiful cottage. Surrounded by tranquil woodland. Perfect if your looking for peace and quiet. Within easy reach of Camel trail for walks or bike rides. Good facilities to store bikes dry wetsuits etc.

Beautiful stunning cottage, immaculate throughout. Underfloor heating was a lovely extra comfort. You felt completely isolated, but in fact only a short drive away from all amenities. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to get away from it all. We had a blissful week away.

Fantastic location, loved hearing birdsong in the garden. Cottage was cosy and warm. Beautiful garden only downside it was very overgrown this year.

This is a beautiful cottage with touches of Japanese influence on the interior design. The cottage is really sympathetic to the lovely, large rural west-facing garden and woodland (filled with bluebells when we went in late April), which the dog adored exploring. Wifi is superb (routinely 70 mega/s), it's dog friendly, warm, has a cosy fire and the outhouse with washing machine is a plus. Despite the wonderful remote feel (expect deer and owls at night), it's only a 10 min drive to Bodmin and about 20 mins to places such as the Eden Project and National Trust Lanhydrock. Can't wait to return...!

WOW! WOW! WOW! This is without doubt the nicest cottage I have ever stayed in. Everything was magical from the drive up seeing it for the 1st time through the trees, the lovely treats left for me including fresh flowers the house and location is just 100% perfect. Enjoyed lovely walks through the garden into the woods and then onto the camel trail. The owners should be very proud for this gem of a holiday home and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you...

Very secluded location and a beautifully restored building within a very natural setting.
