We would echo the positive comments in previous reviews. Starting with the lovely welcome pack of milk, bread etc, we loved the cosy feel of the cottage. We even saw a wren in the garden which is so rare these days. We're already planning to return this year in the warmer weather so we can sit out on the patio and enjoy the tranquility of the place as well as explore more of the beautiful surrounding area. Compared to where we live in West Sussex, the night sky was magical, we can't remember the last time we saw so many stars. Will be bringing our telescope on our next visit....

How lovely to read your glowing review of Gamekeeper's Cottage. It's wonderful that you had such a peaceful and relaxing time on holiday. We would love to welcome you back soon. Sarah, Customer Support

Friendly owners who respected our privacy. Lovely extra of being able to pick fruit from the trees and the many treats on arrival (cake, bread, butter, eggs, milk and coffee pods).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we appreciated the warm welcome we received from Nigel and Adele. We look forward to returning soon. Katriona and Shane

Lovely cottage, fantastic gardens and pool, and the friendliest owners ever. Highly recommended.

This is a great place to stay, it’s a perfect piece of quintessential English idyl set in a beautiful valley. The cottage caters for everything it’s cosy and luxurious with lovely white fluffy towels and soft bedding. The kitchen has everything you need including complimentary bread, Dorest butter, eggs, milk and a homemade cake. The gardens surrounding the cottage are like being in National trust grounds, perfect to wander round and the pool is heated and a great place to chill out after a day sightseeing. The icing on the cake is you’re allowed to help ourselves to any of the fruit and vegetables, so we’ve enjoyed fresh runners beans and apple, pear and raspberries compote, with our Sunday roast. We’ll definitely come back. Nigel and Adele have made sure that nothing is missing to make this a perfect place to stay....
