The property is set amongst peaceful and private gardens which are beautifully planned out and maintained. There is another holiday property next door but the way in which the gardens and parking facilities have been planned, ensures maximum privacy and you wouldn't know there was another building within close proximity.

Woods at the rear of the owner's property are a real treat to walk around and explore, with the occasional sighting of deer. Very magical.

Location is excellent with many National Trust properties and other attractions within easy reach. A great farm shop, selling local produce, can be found just a couple of minutes away. They also have an outdoor cafe.

A really lovely getaway for anyone wanting a complete rest. This was our second stay at Woodpeckers and we were very lucky to enjoy another relaxing holiday.

Angela, the property owner, was very welcoming and we appreciated the welcome pack on our arrival.

Perfect location, cottage, friendly and helpful owner. Couldn't have been better.

Just to say that this is an extremely lovely property with top quality fixtures and fittings throughout. Excellent book of information and instructions which also included local walks maps. The owner, Angie, left a very welcome Welcome Pack consisting of bread, butter, milk, eggs and a bottle of very good wine. She also came over to make sure everything was OK and she also waved us off at the end of the week. The cottage is well situated for Ashdown Forest and plenty of National Trust properties. All in all a fantastic week.

Had a lovely few days break at Woodpeckers Cottage. The cottage was beautifully appointed and immaculately clean with two lovely little private courtyard gardens to sit out and relax in. Ideally situated to explore the Ashdown Forest and several NT properties nearby. Would definitely stay at Woodpeckers Cottage again in the future.
