Well equipped & comfortable. Quiet location with easy access to the coastal path. Attractive coast and near to good beaches.
Mr Ellis May 2022
Lovely stay situated on a hill, would advise sorting parking permit with farmer, use daytime only, for non walkers? Bring down pillows and extra towels, supplied but may not be to your liking. Would stay again beautiful country side and river ,sea views. Narrow roads to get to this obvious walkers heaven.

We're delighted to see that you enjoyed your stay at The Beacon, especially the lovely rural location and elevated views. The council car park by the beach is an option for guests who aren't able to walk back up the hill at the end of the day - we're so pleased that you found this useful (there is also a privately owned parking area a few minutes' walk from the beach). Personal opinion can vary regarding things like pillows - if you have a strong personal preference and choose to bring your own pillows, you are always welcome to do so. We hope to welcome you back again soon. Tanya, Customer Support
Mrs Munslow December 2021
Loved our stay at the Beacon over new year, with comfortable rooms, well equipped kitchen, space to relax and a view of the sea in the distance. A good location to get to the beach and Burgh Island.
Mr Cook October 2021

Mrs Briggs-Minton October 2021
The Beacon is a comfortable property with lovely sea views and great coastal walks right on your door step. The property was clean and well equipped for a family. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in easy reach of the beautiful Devon coast.
Mrs Lawton September 2021
Lovely cottage, a good setting, near the lovely Burgh Island and gorgeous beach.
Mrs creedon September 2021
Well equipped kitchen and easy to prepare tasty meals.
Hill to beach is steep going down so if planning a day at beach and have lots to carry you can use the council pay and display which has access straight to the beach.
We were very lucky with the weather and the views are stunning from the juliette window upstairs.
To note you are adjacent to the farm but it never disturbs you.
Mrs Still July 2021
We had a lovely time and really settled in well. The kids loved it and a perfect position to get to the beach! We will definitely be returning!
Mrs Stephens June 2021
We had a fabulous week at The Beacon. Stunning location and weather with Coastal walk on the doorstep with gorgeous views of the sea and River Avon converging. Lovely property and we will return. If any provisions are required, I suggest an online order be made with the holidaymaker on hand to take acceptance of delivery. No suitable amenities locally.
Mr cudmore May 2021
Beautiful location, overlooking Bantham and Bigbury bays. The accommodation was excellent, well furnished, stylish and well equipped. Our weather was very changeable, but it was still a pleasure to spend our time inside and out.
Mr cudmore May 2021
Perfectly located with gorgeous views over Bantham and Bigbury bays. The property is a sheer delight, beautifully decorated and appointed, with everything you may need it like. Highly recommended
Mrs Green April 2021
Very modern and comfortable cottage in elevated position with stunning views. The car park at bottom of the hill was a lovely bonus as hill very steep.

Ms Dixon October 2020
An exceptional location with wonderful views. A renovation completed to a very high standard. A truly lovely place to have a holiday.
Ms Rippon September 2020
Wonderful week at The Beacon.
The house is lovely, very well equipped with lovely views. The kitchen is superb and I enjoyed cooking there so much we never went out in the evenings to eat. The Garden also very pretty with the added bonus of vegetables across the lane in an honesty box provided by the neighbouring farm.
A bit of a walk to the beach but the nearby field car park was a bonus!
Perfect for walkers as The Beacon sits on the coastal path.
The only downside is that the nearest shop and pub is a drive away unless you go to the Pilchard Inn on Burgh Island which is accessible by foot when tide is out.
Sunsets and views are breathtaking.
Thank you The Beacon for a great stay
