Danny cottage was perfect for a weekend walking on the South Downs Way. As our stay was in November the heating was effective and the cottage always warm, there is a delightful electric wood burning stove in the lounge which was cosy and inviting. Dogs are treated very well with towels and bowls available for them and so helpful having flagstone floors downstairs for those muddy paws! The house and grounds are stunning and we cannot think of anything negative to say about our stay, a definite recommend.

Everything lived up to our expectations and more totally as seen when booking. The cottage and outdoor areas are gorgeous and spotless the location is perfect very peaceful with beautiful Alfriston village a ten minute walk away it has gorgeous old pubs and history everyone also very polite and friendly. Lovely touch on arrival a bottle of wine and fresh garden flowers dotted around, and a courtesy call from owners to see if everything was okay. Walking with wolves is a must experience both humbling and interesting All in all a wonderful wonderful holiday

A lovely cottage in a splendid location with easy access to the coast, South Downs and gourmet restaurants.

A wonderful location within a 5 minute walk of Alfriston (quintessential English village) with all the pubs are dog friendly. The cottage was very dog friendly too, there were bowls, towels etc.
There are fruit trees (apple and figs) in the beautiful garden. The cottage was a delight, comfortable beds and all the amenities you will need including old world charm.

Danny Cottage is one of our favourite properties for both the cottage and the surrounding area. We love visiting and will come back whenever we can

We really enjoyed our stay at Danny Cottage with it's lovely gardens and general peaceful atmosphere. Only 5 minutes walk to the village which was handy and some lovely pubs locally. All in all a very relaxing break.

A beautifully? furnished cottage, perfectly located next to some of the finest stretches of the South Downs Way. In Spring the garden was a picture, and the views from the orchard were breathtaking.
The caring owners had thought of every last thing for the comfort of guests, even down to a welcome bottle of wine, and flowers in the main rooms.

My family + 2 dogs has a lovely stay in Danny Cottage over Feb half term holiday. The cottage is extremely charming, very comfortable and has a fascinating history. We loved the rustic cottage aesthetic and the abundance of lamps. The kitchen is very well equipped and the wifi strong (very important for the teenagers ). The garden was spacious + beautiful with lovely views. I can imagine in the summer it would be a gorgeous spot to sit out. I contacted the owner about a couple of things and Kitty was extremely warm and helpful. It's an easy 10 minute walk into Alfriston, (either across fields or down a quiet road) to explore the independent shops, grab a coffee or have a meal in one of the really good pubs. We also loved the walks from the door and striding off into fabulous downland countryside. We will definitely return again.

Cosy spacious cottage; lovely garden and plenty of space and privacy. Alfriston is attractive and the local store was great for almost any food requirements. When pubs reopen the village will be even more attractive! Lovely to be able to go for walks from the door.
