Just back from a brilliant week away over New Year. We were a party of six adults, four children and a dog and the house suited us perfectly. The location of Bridge House is wonderful - easy, easy walk to the beach with walks in either direction. Wonderful beaches full of fascinating rocks formations - amazing colours. The children loved the playroom and we all loved the enormous table where we could eat together. There are a lot of stairs within the house but provided you're fit and healthy they just add to any keep fit regime! We loved it.

Fabulous big house by the sea, perfect for friends and family get togethers.

Overall it’s a nice property. However the cleanliness needed to be looked into as this was quite poor and a good deep clean with attention to detail needs to be addressed. In relation to this, the pans need to be cleaned thoroughly, there are child’s finger marks all over the tv and on the inside of the windows, the cushions on the sofas need to be lifted and vacuumed underneath and kitchen cupboards need to be cleaned.

Apart from that, the place was very well appointed and Classic Cottage staff sorted out the broken items i.e. the tap, toilet handle and sun loungers immediately and efficiently.

The only other note I would add is that you do get a lot of road noise which is not something that can be fixed. This is just an observation. The description states that there are shops in Seaton. However this is not correct. There is one pub and two cafe’s. There is no promenade to reach Downderry as this was washed away in storms. You have to go when it is low tide. Also parking is in the garage only. This was ok however the rubbish lying on the flor needs to be removed so the the car doors can be opened without difficulty. The grass in the back garden was uncut so reaching the washing line was not an option. There was a hand mower but I’m not sure at the price we paid for staying here, this is something that we should have to attend to.

Thank you for taking the time to send your review of Bridge House - we're so pleased that you liked the property overall, and that we were able to help with the maintenance items you reported. We do wish we'd known that there were one or two minor cleanliness observations as well as we could have arranged for these to be attended to during your stay. We have discussed the points with the cleaning team and carried out an extra inspection as a result - thank you. The shops mentioned in the description are in nearby Downderry, Kingsand and Cawsand, and we hope that you enjoyed exploring them. Tanya, Customer Support

Great location, very well equipped house, perfect for a large family, children loved the games, also loved having the patio, as well as decking, children could play in one part which is made everning very enjoyable. We we're so luck with the weather, sunshine every day.

This house is in a wonderful location near the beach and there is a lovely walk on the trail opposite the property which is excellent for dog walking and children. The property is large and ideal for a family. The enclosed garden area was excellent for our dog. The area wasn't too crowded.

This was a great property generally and the only constructive criticism I can offer is the outside main patio area needs some attention. Three of the eight chairs were broken and just cast aside, the table top was badly warped causing spillages, the barbecue was not fit for purpose and the paving would have benefited from a good sweep. Bearing in mind the price this was very disappointing and let the property down. Only for this I would have given a five star rating as the everything else was great. As long as you don’t mind lots of steps it was a fantastic location and a short walk to the beach. A pity the Beach House was closed for refurbishment but is due to reopen today (19th September), which will be a nice addition to the local facilities on offer.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts following your stay. It's great to hear that you enjoyed the house overall, and we're really grateful for your feedback about the barbecue and outdoor furniture. Whilst we'd obviously have preferred to resolve this for you during your stay, a new stainless steel barbecue and some additional outdoor seating has been ordered and will be installed as soon as possible. We really appreciate you letting us know. Tanya, Customer Support
