We stayed at the cottage during our son's half term and we found it to be a lovely place to unwind and get away from the ongoing Covid-19 madness. As a family of four with a five year old and a 3 months old baby, I felt a bit anxious about staying somewhere that's unfamiliar for 7 nights but the cottage was well equipped and it's close proximity to Exeter and other cities such as Torquay made everything easy for us in terms of food, meet up with family etc. and we enjoyed a nice day on the beach in Dawlish too. We had a few wet days throughout the week but we enjoyed lighting the wood burner and cherishing our peaceful family time together. We recommend Killerton which is a National Trust property (our son enjoyed a pumpkin hunt there). The owner of the property, Mrs Nott was friendly and helpful and immediately returned my husband's shirt to us after we'd forgotten it at the cottage. It was our first experience using Classic Cottage but I felt that the service was great and we're thinking of booking another stay in Devon next February (all being well!).

This is a well appointed cottage in an excellent location for access to regional arterial rail and road connections as well as local walks all of which we used during this visit. It was warm and cosy during late Autumn but can imagine it would be equally pleasant during warmer months especially with access to a lovely mature private garden. Shopping for essentials is a short walk away with ready access to larger retail outlets nearby by car. Devon has a lot to offer with coastal, rural and moorland experiences as well as, for us, access to family and this is located very conveniently whether travelling from the West or East (and probably North).
Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed in this cottage, with the few exceptions stated in our Review Guidelines.
