This is a lovely cottage with plenty of parking space and owners who are very welcoming and available if needed. The cottage itself is very comfortable and spotlessly clean, with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. I recommend it very highly.

Lovely thatched cottage in quiet location. Very clean and well furnished. Plenty of things to visit along the coast and inland. Friendly and helpful host.

Our hosts Les May and family, went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable. Can't thank them enough. The location was delightful and deep in the West Dorset Hills. We walked, cycled and visited several places of interest during our stay. A tour of Palmer's Brewery in Bridport is a must and their wine shop is a treasure. We climbed Pilsdon Hill and imagined the Iron Age and Bronze Age history under our feet. Bridport town is a gem as well as Chesil Beach and the views from Hardy's Monument. A walk along the beach from Burton Bradstock to West Bexington and back was a challenge.. Sad the old teahouse at W. Bexington has gone and replaced by The Club House, with eye watering prices. Avoid! Cycling the lanes was fun, either up or down, no flat, our ebikes being just the ticket. Local honey from Drimpton to take home and Palmer's 200 dark beer softened the road when walking back from the Royal Oak. We shall certainly return to Old Sandpitts Lodge. Can't wait to sit out on the front patio again and toast the sunset. Thankyou Les.

We had a lovely week here. The cottage was spotless on arrival and the kitchen was kitted out with everything you need. Les was great and let our 3 year old feed the ducks at breakfast which she loved. The location is perfect for visiting all the gardens nearby and it’s only 25 minutes to the sea. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property. Owner very welcoming and invited us to walk around the grounds which were stunning. Spotlessly clean. Would thoroughly recommend.

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location.

Old Sandpits Lodge is a delightful cottage in beautiful Dorset. Everything was as described in the literature and is a credit to Mr May. Decor, furniture, fittings and the grounds the made this a home from home, it was so comfortable. Local pubs for dinner would easily suit families, Indian takeaway from Crewkerne was excellent, Lord Poullet Arms in Hinton St George is well worth a visit for a more up market meal.

Would recommend and return.

Lovely clean & well maintained cottage and grounds and a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Comfortable cottage and in a perfect location. We recommend!

Great location, lovely thatched cottage, plenty of parking and a lovely garden view to the hills in the distance. Very comfortable cottage, everything you need for 6 people. Les the owner is a thoroughly likeable guy, as is his father, super people. Would recommend to anyone. 4.5 Star rating!!

Old Sandpitts Lodge is a beautiful cottage in the heart of some stunning countryside. It was spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a comfy family stay. It’s easy enough to get to the near by towns and has a nice pub only a short walk. The place had a real nice vibe and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future. Jason Pearce.

We had a lovely stay! My 6 year old adored the lambs and sheep at the back of the cottage, and the cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. Cosy when the weather wasn’t so great, but cool when it was hot. Smart tv and Blu-ray player was invaluable during a rainy day. A great base for exploring Lyme Regis, Bridport and the Jurassic coast. Highly recommend.

A very comfortable week in a beautiful site.
