Ms Haydon August 2023
A very comfortable and homely cottage. A beautiful kitchen which had everything needed for cooking and lots of storage for a food shop.
The owners were lovely and very helpful. We had the most delicious welcome pack and loved that the cottage was cleaned and linen and towels changed for the second week - plus we had another little treat left for us which was really thoughtful and much appreciated.
Ms Moeller July 2023
We loved Bluebell Barn, because it felt like a home. We would have liked to move in for the kitchen alone. What an amazing place to have breakfasts in and so extraordinarily well equipped. Our apprentice chef really appreciated this. The morning coffees on the small patio downstairs next to the babbling brook were magical.
Mr Boddey October 2022
The cottage was wonderful as usual, everything was perfect. The lovely welcome basket of goodies was waiting for us again this year. You could quite happily just stay and relax in the cottage and lovely gardens and peruse the extensive library with a G&T. Simon and Carol are wonderful hosts, we had a great chat with them over a couple of pints down the Five Pilchards. The places to eat around are excellent (most mentioned in my previous review from last year) but the new addition of The Loft over the Porthallow Beach Cafe must be mentioned, excellent place and sea food with great views across the bay. However, I think I have to change my previous statement of Bluebell Barn it being 'one of the best' cottages we had to it is the best we been to. Hope to be back soon.
Mrs Aldridge September 2022
Excellent property, very well equipped and in a great location. I would certainly recommend a stay here.
Mrs Chippindale July 2022
A beautiful cottage in a perfect location for exploring Lizard and Helford. Extremely comfortable with everything you could ask for. The owners have furnished it with comfort and relaxation in mind, and that's exactly what you will do from the minute you put your bags down!
Mr Dale July 2022
Fabulous place to stay, great location. So peaceful and relaxing yet accessible to lots of places. Wonderful house fully equipped for every need and extremely comfortable. Owners two lovely people who were able to answer any questions and give ideas re walks etc. Couldn't fault a thing and we only hope we get chance to rebook.
Mrs Day June 2022
Beautiful house and lovely garden for our dog to enjoy. Accommodation was very comfortable. We loved the family kitchen and excellent shower.
Location is very good and we toured the coastline easily, walking some of the south coast path. Just a 10 minute walk to the pub and the bay. We ate in the pub a couple of times. Food was good and staff friendly.
Friendly and understanding owners.
Mr Pigott May 2022
A cottage in a lovely peaceful situation and position. Very well equipped kitchen. Would rate excellent with new beds
Miss Hine April 2022
Gorgeous cottage, peaceful and well equipped. Beautiful gardens. Only Couple mintes walk to pub and cafe.
On a hill and all walks hilly which means amazing views but may not suit some.
Will definitely return.
Tearle April 2022
Website is easy to use with a great range of properties to choose from. We were thrilled with our choice and will definitely recommend and use Classic Cottages again.
Miss Rowland April 2022
Blue bell barn was a lovely cottage ideally situated for exploring the lizard peninsula and beyond , which we did! It has a lovely garden area but it was sadly too cold to sit out . It was lovely to come back to on an evening and relax in front of the tv and log burner in the lounge and play games. Also extensive range of books and dvds to enjoy.
Mr Boddey October 2021
An excellent cottage and beautifully equipped. One of the best we've had from Classic and there have been quite a few. Lovely surroundings in one of the last 'quiet' parts of Cornwall left. Had a great week and could have just stayed and relaxed in the cottage, but we did venture out on some lovely walks. The Five Pilchards and Fat Apples are both a few hundred yards away and both excellent for food. The pubs in near by St Keverne (a lovely walk in along the stream into the back on the churchyard) are both worth a visit and the butchers is amazing (best ribeye I've had in a long time) as is The Greenhouse (if you can get a table). Will certainly be returning to this one.
Mrs Chippindale July 2021
This is a gorgeous barn conversion in a peaceful location tucked away at the edge of the Lizard. If you want to get away from it all in comfort, with wildlife literally on your balcony then this is the place for you!
Mrs Matravers July 2021
The most superb cottage and relaxing break we've ever had. Will certainly be back next year.
Mr Kendrick-Thomas June 2021
A lovely place to stay, very quiet and relaxing in beautiful surroundings.
Mrs Sibley June 2021
Wonderful stay in Bluebell Barn that is an extremely well equipped holiday home and also spotlessly clean and comfortable. Wonderful setting and we even had sunshine from beginning to end of our week.
Ms Moreton June 2021
Beautiful cottage and gardens. If you like peace, tranquility and wildlife this is the location to choose.
Ms Burn May 2021
Our second time here and we love it.
Mrs Lee April 2021
Certainly not a complaint but a comment that after such a long time with no guests at the house due to Covid, the surrounding woodland was not accessible as advertised as it was overgrown etc. The owners have put a lot of effort into lighting the garden with solar lighting but much has now failed: where it worked, like the main balcony, it was fabulous. it’s hard to criticise anything really as we had such a lovely stay at Bluebell Cottage. Thank you
Mrs Wan azman April 2021
Amazing, photos doesn’t do it justice. Kitchen fully equipped, lots of things to keep both kids and adults occupied. Facilities in the cottage was top notch and easily find. Location was a bit far and secluded but we choose it for that. Just have to come prepared with provision especially with kids. Having said that the host has kindly left some food for us to start off. There’s a small cafe next door and a pub down the road which was more than sufficient for us. The host pretty much thought of everything in details. Thank you very much.

We had an amazing holiday at this lovely cottage. The cottage was better than we expected and the gardens are amazing. So nice not being overlooked by anyone, and having beatiful views out of every window. The cottage is so spacious and very well equipped, and the lovely log burner makes it so cosy. We will definitely be going back
Mrs Berryman October 2020
All in all a lovely property located in the more southerly part of the lizard where most places were easily accessed. Lovely spacious lounge with views over garden, was very comfortable with tasteful furnishings. Good sized modern bathrooms for each bedroom and the kitchen was very well equipped. Very good value holiday accommodation.
Mrs Lawrie September 2020
Beautiful cottage with stunning surroundings. All mod cons and high spec fixtures and fittings. Perfectly placed on the Lizard peninsula to visit all the lovely little coves in the south.
Ms Burn September 2020
We would certainly come here again -comfortable, stylish cottage with good facilities, peace and quiet.

Mrs Chippindale July 2020
This is the best property we've ever stayed in, in 20 years of self catering holidays. We know we'll be coming back for years to come.
Miss Robinson February 2020
The property was beautiful and much better than we were expecting. It really was home from home.Stunning cottage with beautiful features and finishing touches. The garden was large and would have been lovely to sit out (unfortunately we didn't have the weather to make the most of it). Simon and Carol were good hosts. Location is fab, right on the coast path. We were able to walk to and from the cottage for a couple of sections of the walk.
