This is the view from the parking area for one of the owners' other properties - a nice stopping point to enjoy the view - including an Indian tree which the owner saved from a digger accident! - on the way to explore the grounds and woodland paths.
There are so many paths to explore - the left takes you through the 'badger trail' (please take care with your footing).
A path down the valley, through the woodland garden with cleared, gently sloping paths.
You may come across this bench to sit for a while - it's a memorial for a long-standing visitor from the USA.
What surprises will you discover? This shows a tyre swing hidden in the garden before you descend the valley walk - there are so many more to be found, such as standing stones and ponds.
A stone monolith from a local quarry by one of the ponds - a lovely quiet place to sit and contemplate.
There's even a secret garden with sun-loungers and a cave pond.
There are lots of rare plants and unusual species throughout the mature gardens which the owner has sourced and grown herself - here you can see some Monkey Puzzle tree branches on the right-hand side.
The space between the manicured gardens and woodland, leading to the 'badger trail' - this is carpeted with bluebells in-season.

We loved our stay at Foxy Shepherds Hut, it was perfect for a romantic getaway, cosy & comfortable with everything you need. Very peaceful, relaxing and in beautiful surroundings. The hot tub is a great addition and is highly recommended for star gazing on a clear night. Great location, easy to get to surrounding areas and sights, we had such a great time and didn't want to leave. Thank you!

A very nice stay in a lovely tucked away place but easy to access the usual holiday hot spots. Will certainly consider again for a holiday option.

September 2019

Absolutely fantastic few days in the foxy hut. It had everything we needed and more! The furnishings were superb, setting beautiful and owners more than helpful. Can’t recommend this place enough! Ticked every box and will definitely be back. Thanks Alex for all your help with the hot tub and making this one of the best glamping trips were ever had

Highly recommended glamping holiday. The location is fabulous and the Shepherd's Hut is finished to a very high standard. This was an idyllic and relaxing break and we are very grateful to our hosts who were most hospitable.

August 2019

We had a lovely holiday at the Foxy Shepherds hut and will definitely return again.

July 2019

We stayed for 3 nights at Foxy and had a wonderful time. Having stayed in plenty of shepherds huts we found Foxy to be the best we have stayed in. The en suite bathroom is a fantastic addition and the hot tub under the stars is super cool. Sue and her son are lovely, sweet and very helpful. The hut itself is well equipped and tastefully decorated. We had a great time exploring the south west coast path and St Ives. We will definitely be coming back to Foxy and highly recommend it.
