We stayed in this lovely cottage in Feb 2022 and immediately felt comfortable and at home. So much so we booked again for two further trips in April and June! It is beautifully presented and a great location for exploring Cornwall. Highlights this trip were a walk around Rame Head, discovering Talland Bay Beach Cafe, and walking the coastal path from Polperro to Looe …which was beautiful with all gorse and flowers coming out. The cottage was perfect for the dogs and the neighbours were so lovely. Looking forward to June, and many more trips. Thank you for a perfect holiday!

This is a beautifully decorated, warm, cosy cottage in a lovely location with walks from the door as well as having the coast and moor close by. The presentation of the cottage and the quality of the equipment, the information pack, and the extra touches such as the huge welcome cream tea exceeds by far most cottages we have stayed in… and we stay in a lot of cottages! We enjoyed walking to Siblyback Lake, an atmospheric walk in the rain and mist on the moor to see the Cheesewring, and did several more sections of the SW coastal path. The owners and neighbours were very welcoming and we loved this cottage so much we immediately booked a week in June! The dogs loved it too! Thank you for a lovely few days and we are looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful cottage

Beautiful holiday cottage that was a real home from home with every thought catered for. Set in a rural lane with access to some terrific walks across the Moor.

We had a fabulous stay at Hudson cottage it was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. Being so close to the lake was perfect for early morning walks with our 2 dogs. Great location for sight seeing. Aldi and Morrisons were in the next village, great for stocking up on supplies. Overall lovely cottage.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location, very well equipped, owners left us with plenty of essentials to start us off which was hugely appreciated after a long drive and a folder full of local information. Farm shop next door was great. Enjoyed visiting the beautiful lake within walking distance. Cottage was very homely, didn’t feel like a holiday let. The weather wasn’t brilliant but meant we could spend some cosy evening by the wood burner. I would highly recommend booking this cottage!

.Just had such a lovely holiday and Hudson Cottage was the perfect base for our family, felt a real home-from-home. Sibly Back Lake was a real surprise and perfect for early morning walks and coffee before teenagers rose! Would have liked proper shower howewer did know this before we stayed so not going to stop us booking. Such a tiny thing but we would have liked some games to play and I only found them when I was cleaning before we left, maybe it said where they were in the cottage info but I didnt see it if it was!

Great location, dog friendly, child friendly, easy to get to other parts of Cornwall. Great hosts.

A lovely cottage in a rural setting, ideally situated for exploring this part of Cornwall, but quiet being 25 mins away from the coast. Especially good for watersports on offer at Sibleyback lake. Lovelly neighbours and farmshop on doorstep.

A lovely cottage in a perfect location, lovely living space with a sun trap courtyard. It’s so quiet there with no light pollution which makes for incredible night sky. Neighbours were very friendly and being close to both Golitha Falls and Siblyback lake is wonderful. Liskeard is only 10 minutes away and has everything you need whilst Looe with its quant streets and coffee shops (The Lookout there is delightful) Polperro and Fowey are 25 mins by car. The owners were very helpful and always available if you need them.

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay, just wish we booked two weeks. Next time!

Lovely well equipped cottage, perfect for the two of us and two dogs. Plenty of walking right on the doorstop. Farm shop next door made life easy and we would definitely return.

What a joyous few days - straight out of Famous Five. Next door on one side was a farm where we filled our glass bottle with fresh milk each morning and stocked up on treats of fudge and biscuits to keep us going on our walks across the moors. Next door on the other side was a stream where the boys happily played 'pooh sticks'. It was a 20 minute drive to the beaches around Looe for a spot of rock pooling and a 20 minute walk up to Siblyback Lake for an icecream and game of cricket. Throw in some stone circles, a waterfall, quarry lakes and some tors plus Cornwall's highest pub for refreshment after exploring and then back to the cottage to enjoy an 80's retro movie or two - fabulous family fun.

Amazing! The cottage is quite a bit bigger than we thought it would be. Had no issues whatsoever. Will definitely be returning!

Hudson cottage is a comfortable, well equipped cottage in a peaceful area with plenty of country walks you can take from the front door. The neighbours are friendly and welcoming and there is a farm shop next door.

We had a brilliant stay at Hudson Cottage! The cottage had everything we needed and more! I loved the welcome book, it made it so easy for us to plan our trip on arrival! Would recommend this beautiful cottage 100%

So lovely to arrive to an immaculate and cosy Cottage, we were so relaxed. The farm shop next door was a bonus. Great location for plenty of fresh air, and not far from the sea. We will definitely be returning ??

This cottage was a little gem, tucked away down a typical Cornish lane that leads up to a lake, it was brilliant for walking our dog. We met the neighbours who were very pleasant and we were able to use the cottage as a base while we visited lots of places throughout the week. We had a lovely holiday thank you ??

Excellent cottage, clean tidy, good furnishings and plenty of equipment Very nice and helpful owners and responded quickly to our problems (fridge not working)

Excellent farm shops on the road to the cottage - next door (good in these times when shopping is so difficult)

Very sweet little cottage, amazing space for a short break. I went with my partner and another couple, we had an lovely time. Loved the log burner, it kept us very cozy in the evenings. Kitchen was very spacious and clean, a delight to cook in. The bedrooms are good sized, clean and the bed were super comfy, even the bunk beds provided an excellent night sleep. Overall 10/10 for experience and service. A car is required as cottage is in a very remote location.

Perfect base for a wonderful time in Cornwall. We shall be back

We had a very nice stay at Hudson Cottage. The owners prepared everything so thoroughly and with loving care: The kitchen is very well organized and proper, in the livingroom, there are games, books, DVDs, guides of Cornwall and maps and a lot of information about the closest shops, pubs etc.! Thank you very much for everything! It was a perfect place for our family: we could enjoy staying at the cottage and having walks in the countryside nearby or could go for nice day trips to Looe, Porpello, Fowey etc. and nice beaches. We spent a wonderful time there!
