A spacious cottage in a beautiful and convenient location. The beds were really uncomfortable and it could definitely be cleaner but all in all, it was a good stay.

I don’t think the description did this holiday home justice - it was beautiful and very comfortable and spacious. We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years snd many have been stunning, but this is one of the few I would have been happy to live in for ever.

Lovely cottage with fantastic views and beautiful garden. The owner was very accommodating but never intrusive. Household linen could do with an upgrade, but a minor detail. Central location proved successful as we had to dodge wet weather. The local Camel Trail Cafe was a joy as was the wine at the nearby vineyard.
Very pleasant stay and would recommend to others.

A wonderful location, beautiful views, peaceful countryside which provide an ideal location to relax and enjoy.

We had a relaxing and very enjoyable stay at Skylark. The owner is very friendly and welcoming with lots of local information and tips. It is beautifully and comfortably furnished; I've never been somewhere with so many lovely places to sit. The view from the upstairs sitting room is wonderful in both sun and rain!! The cottage is in a quiet, peaceful location but only a couple of minutes to a main road giving easy access to the surrounding area. We would not hesitate to use this property again.

We had a great week at Skylark, Anne was the perfect hostess, around if you needed her, but unobtrusive otherwise. We loved the location as was very central to exploring an area of Cornwall we didn’t know very well. The house was perfectly equipped with the addition of a larger fridge making life easier. Enjoyed our takeaways from the nearby Lanivet Inn and a coffee and cake trip to the cafe at the bottom of the hill was also enjoyed more than once.... Overall, a lovely, relaxing week.

This is the perfect location for a relaxing break. The owner of the property was very welcoming and the property itself is very spacious, clean and has amazing views from upstairs across the landscape. We were treated to some beautiful sunny days, some stunning sunsets and even being able to see comet Neowise from the lounge windows!

Whilst have a very rural view it is also located close enough to main roads to make getting around easy. We visited at what could only be described as a challenging time and it could not have been better, with plenty of opportunity to stay away from the crowds and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet.

We found the cottage to be excellent, Ann was a perfect host and made us feel very welcome. The dogs settled in very quickly and loved running around the paddock. The location was good and enabled us to get out and explore the North Coast with ease. We would highly recommend staying at Skylark and hope to return another year.

Don't expect a warm welcome at this property. Allow lots of time for key hunt on arrival. There is nobody to ask and you will get no reply if you phone the numbers provided. Don't arrive with shopping that needs refrigerating as the fridge is minute. Similar size to a mini bar. Don't expect to find a stair gate as we have looked. Take kitchen roll, tissues, a dish cloth, vegetable knife. No bedside lights in bedroom one with the en suite bathroom. If you like to recycle be prepared to take it all home with you. There is no box for recycling as per instructions and no orange bag for cardboard.

We can only apologise for the confusion regarding the location of the keys upon your arrival - we unfortunately hadn't been aware of any change to it's location but we'll certainly ensure that this is checked and changed if necessary moving forwards. We do have a dedicated Out of Hours emergency line for any issues which diverts to a mobile number to leave a message and someone will return your call as soon as possible - we don't appear to have received a message on this service so we're so sorry you didn't receive a return call. We try to ensure that the photos of our properties are as honest as possible so that guests know what to expect on arrival - we appreciate that due to the available space the fridge/freezer is small and we've shown this in the photos online. We've also noted that there were some items missing and we've asked the housekeeping team to check all during the next changeover. Bryony, Customer Support

Skylark is very spacious and comfortable with some wonderfully quirky details set in a delightful, well kept garden. The view from the upstairs window is amazing especially at sunset.

The Fish and Chips at The Mariners in Rock, has to be the best we have tasted for a very long time. I would love to know how he makes the batter!

Accommodating host, great location, great stay. Great amenities, lovely large living room with fantastic views.

We will return next year.

Just had a wonderful week at Skylark with my husband, two adult sons and Paddington the cockapoo.

The location is great. You are very handy for the North Coast beaches - Padstow etc but we also went south one day to Mevagissey which was only about an hour.

Bodmin moor is nearby too of course but the weather was so great we spent most of the week at the beach.

The upstairs sitting room has wonderful views and we enjoyed amazing sunsets every evening.

There is a field nearby where you can exercise your dog if needed.

Anne who owns the property lives next door and is around if needed.

We loved this property and plan to return very soon. Highly recommended!
