Halcyon

Our second stay at Halcyon and it is as comfortable as ever. The views of the sea and the bay are wonderful. The garden is lovely and so peaceful with birds and wild life to watch. We were so lucky with wall to wall sunshine for two weeks but plenty to do if the weather is not so kind....

Halcyon is a most comfortable and well positioned property for a holiday to explore at a slower pace. Once there we were able to get about either on foot or taking very short car journeys to beaches, coast path, food shops and restaurants nearby. For further exploring it is easy to go in either direction to visit the rest of Cornwall and come home to a peaceful and relaxing house....

Halcyon is in the most fantastic location, 5 minutes walk to beautiful Porthcurnick beach, and 15 minutes over the coastal path to the picture perfect village of Portscatho. We didn’t use the car all week ! We were an extended family of grandparents, parents, aunty and a toddler and the space was amazing for us. The house is wonderful - spacious, comfortable and so well equipped. The beds are huge and comfy; having 3 bathrooms was really practical, especially after a morning on the beach! The kitchen and utility room are really well equipped. The living room with stunning sea views was plenty big enough with comfy seating for everyone. We enjoyed the big garden with ample seating and some fun garden games to enjoy. Ours was largely a blissfully simple bucket and spade, pottering in the village type holiday but we also managed a pre breakfast swim every morning ( so easy when it’s only a 5 minute stroll to the sea!) , and some wonderful coastal path walks from the door. The scenery is simply stunning. We love Cornwall but have never been to this area before and could not believe how un-crowded everywhere was- it’s like this beautiful peninsula has somehow avoided the crazy holiday crush we expected in school holidays ! Our family all live far apart and this was the perfect place to get together. We hope to return ! ...

We had a wonderful week in Halcyon spending time in the lovely garden and going to the beach nearby.The views are fantastic from the bedroom.

We stayed in Halcyon and had a really good time. The house itself is on a great location and the views are spectacular. The house is wel equipped, everything is provided for. Great beds. The secluded garden was heaven for our little dog. "The Hidden Hut" on walking distance, which is a great place to enjoy a lunch. Lots of things to visit in the area, the owners really made an effort to provide lots of information. Can really recommend this holiday home. ...
