Mrs Parncutt October 2020
A car is a must if you want to get out; not simply because you are within driving distance of some amazing views and walks but also because the nearest pubs/restaurants and shops are a distance away and pavements are non existent. The owners of the cottage were close at hand but respectful of distancing and Privacy.

We're so pleased to see that you enjoyed the fabulous array of walks in the area. This part of Devon is splendidly rural so the nearest little shop and pub are a couple of miles away, with bigger supermarkets at Holsworthy and Okehampton - a good place to stock up on arrival so you can relax and soak up the countryside setting once you're at the cottage. Mr Darnell September 2020
A very well equipped cottage in a rural location. It is light and airy, with easy access to both coast and Dartmoor. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and the welcome basket of goodies was much appreciated. Highly recommended.
Mrs Dacre September 2020
My daughter and partner stayed here and we were in Little Wagtail. Perfect for 2 families and their dogs. Lovely clean and well equipped cottage, perfect holiday.
Mrs Roth-Biester July 2020
Little Wagtail is an absolute gem. Secluded and blissfully quiet but within easy reach of some of Devon’s most spectacular beaches and scenery. The hosts are super helpful and friendly and we would be thrilled to return ps: our little dog strongly endorses all the above and would also like us to mention the lovely walks right on the doorstep. Thank you Little Wagtail ????
Mr Thomas July 2020
We enjoyed our stay, which was a short break. Everything there was very clean and in good condition. The location and size of the TV makes it unattractive to use and the cottage could do with a kitchen knife. None of these things mattered for a weekend, we loved sitting out, playing games, reading etc., but we would not be able to book for say a week.

It's great to see you enjoyed your stay overall - thanks for your feedback on the television and the suggestion of a chef's knife to supplement the kitchen knives already there. We've passed these ideas to the owners to consider. Tanya, Customer Support
Mrs Maffey January 2020
The property was really lovely and in such a quiet and relaxing spot. The interior was beautifully clean and really comfortable. The scones on arrival were a lovely bonus! The owners were really nice and welcoming and clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay. I would definitely stay there again.
Mrs Brett December 2019
This was an excellent base for Devon / Cornwall and was warm and cosy and well equipped. Caroline was very helpful and the "Welcome" goodies left for us were very much appreciated and far beyond our expectations. Despite the slightly wet weather over Christmas we had a lovely break and hope to be able to fit in a return visit in 2020 to explore more of the area.
Miss Sandercock September 2019
Great hosts, very quiet and well-equipped cottage.
Mrs Carson August 2019
Extremely well equipped and spotless. The owners were so helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend these cottages at East Lake Farm.
Mr Cooper May 2019
A brilliant cottage we had a very happy few days . Owners Bill and Caroline couldn't have been more helpful. A lovely welcome of delicious homemade scones cream and jam and little treats for Brinkley. We felt very welcome and would definitely stay again.

We're so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Little Wagtail - those homemade scones certainly sound like they hit the spot - did you go jam or cream first? We look forward to welcoming you and Brinkley back again soon. Tressa, Customer Support

Ms Grenfell April 2019
Little Wagtail is a spotlessly clean, comfortable cottage set in such a quiet and peaceful location. There are walks and local villages to explore nearby. We loved exploring Dartmoor and the pubs in Sheepwash and Black Torrington (5 min drive).
We very much appreciated the lovely cream tea on arrival and other little surprises left for us and our two dogs to enjoy. Every effort had been made to make us feel welcome and relaxed at Little Wagtail.
Having two ensuite bathrooms was a plus as we were two couples sharing the cottage. The bedrooms were large and light and the kitchen diner had everything we needed.
A real find!
Mrs Jackson March 2019
Little Wagtail has everything you will need for a prefect holiday! The cottage is so cosy you will not want to leave. A great base as you are only a short drive away from Dartmoor or the coast.
Mrs Ward December 2018
We had a brilliant stay at Little Wagtail, and the owners could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Delicious mince pies, a Christmas tree and even treats for our dog were all waiting for us. The cottage felt spacious and was very clean and well equipped, and in a good central location for exploring Devon. Lots of good beaches and walks for the dog (and the children!) too.
