Exceeded my expectations
Mr Slator August 2020
Very comfortable and well equipped. We had some rainy days and appreciated the TV and Netflix etc! The kitchen was wonderful and the little extras such as pods for the coffee machine, milk and teabags were a plus point. We used the modern washing machine and tumble drier which made life after muddy walks easier too. We enjoyed the design and ‘cottageness’ Of Meadowside and would definitely recommend it to future guests.
Mrs Piper August 2020
A super cottage in a beautiful location. Plenty of room for a family with teenage children. Loved the snug! Kitchen well equipped and beautiful gifts on arrival! Utility area a great help after a day at the beach and lots of washing facilities for all the family.
Mrs Evans July 2020
We arrived as the cleaner was finishing as we arrived so we were surprised to find quite a few dead flies on arrival. I expected it to be immaculate because of the extra cleaning time but it wasn't. I wiped down the front of the kitchen cupboard doors. The inside of the windows really need cleaning. Maybe a few coffee pods for the machine on arrival? Towel for the downstairs loo? Broken lamp in the sitting room. There wasn't any milk or cream on arrival which was fine but maybe clean the sign that says there is? The comments above are quite picky. We loved the cottage - it's a delightful cottage. We loved the big round swivel chairs! Lovely thick duvets and nice pillows. We'll equipped. We had a lovely time. Thank you.

Thank you for your comments and we're really sorry if there were a few elements of the property that weren't quite up to our usual cleanliness expectations. Please be assured we'll certainly pass this on to the relevant parties to be taken care of immediately along with the broken lamp you found. Due to the current situation we have suggested to many of our owners to reduce the number of welcome items provided to minimise any risk to our guests and we've emailed all guests to let them know it might be a good idea to bring those essentials with you for the time being. We're really pleased that these points didn't detract from your stay overall and we do hope to see you again in the future. Bryony, Customer Support

We're delighted to hear you had such a wonderful time at Meadowside Cottage. Set on the outskirts of St Breward it's perfectly located to access wonderful walks on Bodmin moor finished off by a glass of something sparkling by that wonderful wood-burner! We hope you'll return soon. Bryony, Customer Support

From the booking to the end of our holiday with was extremely straight forward. The cottage was of a high standard with everything you could need.
We were greeted with a lovely Cornish cream tea left for us which was a lovely welcoming touch.
Mr Nicholls September 2019
A very well presented and equipped cottage, which is comforable and in a quiet location. It would be unsuitable for old and infirm people as the access to the first floor is steep and narrow. It is close to a very nice pub and well stocked village store so both eating out and self catering are easily achieved.

Thanks so much for reviewing Meadowside Cottage - it's great to hear you enjoyed your holiday overall. As a beautiful traditional property, Meadowside Cottage does retain many of its original character features such as exposed beams and stonework, inglenook fireplaces and steep cottage stairs as mentioned in the description. We appreciate that this won't be suitable for everyone so if you ever need any further information please do get in touch with us and we'd be delighted to help. Bryony, Customer Support

Mrs Gleave August 2019
Set in the picturesque and friendly village of St Breward the cottage is perfect for relaxing and to use as a base for exploring North Cornwall.
Mrs Hutchinson July 2019
We booked Meadowside at very short notice and were grateful to Classic Cottages for sorting things out for us so efficiently. Our initial thought was that the cottage was a bit too remote for us but in fact it was very well placed for connecting with the A39 and A30 and most of North Cornwall was within easy reach. We even visited a friend in Penzance which was only and hour and a half away. St Breward is a very pleasant, friendly village and the Old Inn and the village stores are both excellent. The cottage has been beautifully restored and the furniture, bedding, kitchen equipment etc are all top quality. We would definitely recommend Meadowside.
Mrs Squires July 2019
The welcome Cream tea and milk was a lovely touch and delicious. the property was perfect it was only for the two of us and little dog but plenty of room if more of you. Everything in the property you could possible want and could think off. Quiet and private and the local Pub is excellent too.
Mrs Harris April 2019
Never stayed in a better cottage
Mr Barrow April 2019
This cottage was outstanding, the furnishings and supplied equipment was top notch and nothing had been forgotten (excellent quality Panasonic TVs, Xbox, Panasonic DVD player, Nespresso coffee machine, Bosch washing machine, Bosch tumble dryer, Bosch dishwasher etc.) Having a cream tea waiting for as was a lovely touch too. It's a pity the garden wasn't bigger and perhaps a BBQ would be a good addition but those are minor points. Location wise it's perfect for exploring all of North Cornwall and it was so peaceful. The pub up the road was lovely and the village shop and Post Office stocks all the essentials. A near perfect cottage that will be top of our list for more holidays.
Mrs Bonnot September 2018
Wow, having stayed in many holiday homes in the UK and Europe this was definately the best, The cottage is huge, beautifully fitted out and had everything you could possibly need. The weather wasn't kind to us and on a couple of days we couldn't go out but it was not a problem to stay in, the snug is a great place to read a good book. Location is great, easy to get to the coast and just a few minutes to the moors and their lovely ponies. A great pub and shop just up the road, Julie the housekeeper contacted us and sounded really nice so I would imagine if you had a problem she would be really helpful. A really lovely place, would highly recommend.
