Diana and Mike were most helpful with information about the local area, the cottage is so well equipped - Diana has thought of everything you might need during your stay. The cream tea on arrival was most delicious. We shall definitely be booking to return in the future .

The attractive cottage was in a peaceful location looking out onto open countryside. It was comfortable, well maintained and spotlessly clean and the owners who live next door were very pleasant. It is the second time I have stayed there.

August 2019

The best vacation spot that one can find, in the heart of the English countryside, beautiful landscapes, an absolutely dreamlike environment. And the house met all our expectations and exceeded them. If we ever return to this part of England, we would like to return to this area. For us who are Spanish and from the south (Seville), we were impressed with everything (perfect weather for summer), with the surroundings (green fields) and with the quality of accommodation (although in Spain there are also very good ones). But what ended up conquering us, were the owners of the house: Diana and her husband, who are more wonderful, charming and willing people. They were waiting all the time that we did not lack anything and to explain ourselves with great detail and interest of heart, what we could visit in the surroundings. Really, what spectacular people. Congratulations to Classic Cottages because in addition to knowing how to choose accommodations, you know how to choose the hosts. Mychas thanks friends.

A beautiful thatched cottage which is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. An ideal location in the heart of the countryside with lots of places to visit in Dorset. We even went into East Devon to the Donkey Sanctuary which was about an hours drive to get there. If you get the chance to visit make sure to go. As an added bonus it is Free.

What a little gem. A beautiful period cottage, full of character. Warm, cosy and sympathetically restored to a high standard. Pound cottage proved to be the perfect holiday rent, and one well paced to explore both inland and coastal Dorset. Unreservedly recommended. We very much enjoyed our stay.

This cottage is cute outside and cosy inside. It is beautifully decorated, very clean, and warm in winter. It is well placed for access to Sherborne, the south coast and several National Trust properties. The owners are welcoming and available if you need anything, but otherwise leave you to enjoy your holiday.
