We really enjoyed our stay at Pound Farm Cottage it is a comfortable and very well equipped cottage in a lovely location with very friendly and welcoming hosts. Diana was very helpful suggesting places that were worth visiting and indeed those that weren’t. The pub at Chetnole is definitely worth a visit with good home made and reasonably priced food. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the cottage and hope to visit again very soon. The service from Classic Cottages was excellent as we have come to expect from previous bookings. In our experience Classic’s cottages are all of a high standard and we will certainly book with them again in the future. ...

A visit to Abbotsbury village, the tropical gardens and Swanery with lunch at Cherries at Abbey Farm cafe is a must, if not already mentioned. Also Minterne gardens at Cerne Abbas.

The layout of the cottage was practical and some serious thought has gone into it. It was perfect for 2 people and we felt welcomed by our hosts from the outset with a cream tea awaiting us on arrival. The cottage which was faultlessly clean throughout was extremely well equipped, particularly the kitchen. Everything we needed for a week's stay had been thought about and was provided. Instructions on how to get to it were precise and the location for visiting many of Dorset's landmarks and country houses was perfect. Sherborne was only 15 minutes away and we found excellent restaurants and amenities as well as the wonderful Abbey and Castle. It was a wonderful stay! ...
