Mrs Budworth September 2021
Convenient for buses to get around Cornwall, we visited St Ives, Mousehole, st Michael's mount, Marazion, Penzance. Walked to Carbis Bay and Porth Kidney. 2 pubs with food very close by and Scarlets shop and Bistro on doorstep. Very much like home
Mrs Syrett July 2021
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gadwell Rise, the house is very well equipped, especially the kitchen. The location is also good - very quiet with several pubs/eating places within a short walking distance. It's very handy for buses and trains and also the A30 for travelling around Cornwall.
Mr Robertson July 2021
The location of the house for travelling to other areas of Cornwall was good as the main road was very close. The house itself was not the best we have been to being on a small housing estate where quite a few houses were holiday lets. Parking was a problem and it was clear that the residents resented holiday lets! Yellow lines all around the roads and signs telling you not to park in certain areas. This meant that we had to park on the too short drive as no road parking was available. I wouldn't describe this as a perfect holiday let. Most of our previous properties have mainly been 'cottages' in the true sense of the word.

Parking could be difficult for a larger car, if the garage next door was occupied

Thanks so much for your review. We advertise Gadwall Rise as having private parking for one small to medium-sized car. There is also on road parking available, should it be needed. Tressa, Customer Support
Mr Ford October 2020
We had a great stay and the cottage is really well equipped comfortable, modern and in a fantastic location. The coffee tea and flowers biscuits Tec. on arrival were a really nice touch! We didn't use the books x-box or games available but again they are another good addition to this lovely property.....though a bigger TV is definitely needed. LocatIon wise is really handy for the A30 and St Ives, Penzance etc. It's a shame Levant Saltings station now only has a couple of trains running from it now though as that would have been the cherry on the cake. There is a big Asda supermarket really close in Hayle and some of the local restaurants and pubs are also great. The Old Forge, Birdies and the Watermill are all within a 3 minute stroll. No need to worry about the driveway either I have a medium/large saloon and yes it overhangs the property a bit but that caused no problems whatsoever. I can highly recommend this property and would definitely book again if we visit Cornwall! All in all great....
Mrs Pilbeam October 2020
Delightful house in a quiet area - very relaxing and comfortable; well equipped. Excellent location near to Hayle and St Ives and the South West Coast Path. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gadwall Rise. Parking could be an issue if you have anything but a fairly small car.
Mr Connor October 2020
Lovely property with loads of equipment and appliances. Great location and no hidden fees/costs. Will book this property again.
Mrs Miles September 2020
Excellent location. Lovely coastal walk to St Ives. Estuary a bird spotters paradise.
Mr Wilch July 2020
Fantastic cottage, clean and well equipped. Just a stroll away from the most beautiful beach, the train station to take you into St Ives & Carbis Bay and The Forge served the best food around. We had the perfect holiday!
Mr Smith August 2019
Please note that the car parking is for a SMALL car only, and there is no roadside parking as the room is taken up by residents and other rental properties, or double yellow lines.

Thanks so much for your feedback - we advertise that this property has private parking for one small/medium car and parking on road if preferred. The driveway is short, as you can see on the online photo, but there is no problem with cars overhanging the space slightly. Tressa, Customer Support.
Mrs Kanchanatheera July 2019
Excellent location to explore the surrounding area.
Mr McKenzie June 2019
The house was nice, though the drive will be too short for most family sized cars. Unfortunately, Lelant Saltings Park & Ride closed in May 2019, so there are hardly any trains now stopping at this station. However, St Erth Park & Ride is only 10 mins by car and there are plenty of trains to St Ives from that station. With a car, the house location is very good for sightseeing. The Watermill pub is less than 10 mins walk with good food and drinks available.

We're so pleased you found the location of Gadwall Rise good for exploring this lovely part of Cornwall. We've updated the details about the Park and Ride; as you say, St Erth Station is less than a mile away, and such a pretty station too. We hope you enjoyed the fabulous train journey into St Ives . Mr Prior September 2018
Good location for easy access to many visitor attractions
Mr Blythe August 2018
Lovely light, airy spacious house in a fantastic location. Great for walks or getting the train to St Ives. Trencrom Hill is a must visit. Scarlets wine bar is amazing, the food is spectacular. Garden at the Watermill also good, same for the Badger.
