The wonderful estuary view that you have from the first and second floors of this brand new build luxury property. Sit out on the balcony with a morning coffee and watch the changing tide.
Waterhayes is a stunning new detached house over three floors with two relaxed seating areas - one with a balcony to the front - and a huge deck to the rear.
Waterhayes, overlooking the fabulous estuary at Appledore, is a brand new build property with the bonus of private off road parking for several cars!
The first floor has a spacious and very contemporary kitchen with the island as the sociable focal point for the family to gather around.
A five minute stroll takes you straight to the Quay - the Deli is a must - with stunning views across to Instow and out to sea. A seasonal ferry takes you from Appledore to Instow and back.
This is the first of the two linked reception rooms. This room has the dining-table and of course the balcony too.
Appledore's origins are as a traditional fishing village and there is still much of that lovely atmosphere here.
This is the stunning view from the master bedroom - there are bespoke wooden screens that fit the window space.
This is the en suite master bedroom on the second floor. The views are wonderful.
The en suite shower-room is filled with light from the Velux window.
This double bedroom is also on the second floor and also has wonderful far reaching views.
Another view of the second floor double bedroom.
This is its en suite bathroom.
This double bedroom is on the ground floor.
The room is bright, spacious and cheerful.
Next to it is the twin bedroom.
... and also on the ground floor, for these two bedrooms, is this lovely shower-room.
The utility-room is on the ground floor - very useful so that you do not have to have the washing machine in the kitchen.
There is a large decking-area and garden at the back of the property that catches the evening sun - so a great place for an evening drink.
Appledore and Instow are such special places, offering the perfect balance between their traditional histories and holiday destinations.
This is the promenade at Westward Ho! Just 2 miles away with a coastal path from Appledore. There is a fabulous golf course between Appledore and Westward Ho!
Across the estuary is Instow's stunning sandy beach - dog friendly all year round. It is an easy drive or you can use the wonderful seasonal passenger ferry.
This is the setting for the North Devon Golf course, between Appledore and Westward Ho!
Children will love peaceful days by the water.
Appledore is a great place for crabbing - nostalgic for grown ups too.

We would highly recommend this property for a large family. This is an outstanding house with excellent fixtures and fittings, the layout works perfectly and the attention to detail was amazing including the wi-fi extender for the ground floor.

A splendid house, well equipped and furnished with a great location for Appledore. The views are great.

August 2018

Ours was a three generation family holiday, the house has enough space and facilities for when the weather isn't warm and sunny. Short walk to the centre of Appledore and not a long walk to the beach further toward Westward Ho!

July 2018

Waterhayes is an absolutely beautiful house to stay in - everything is well thought out and the kitchen has more things in it than you could possibly want. We particularly enjoyed having the coffee maker at hand!

The views from the first floor are gorgeous and it is so nice to be able to have the doors open and just sit looking at the view - it was a bit rainy when we were there and it was cosy and dry whilst watching the weather come across the estuary - as well as glorious when the sun was out.

Appledore is small and steep (!) and as such I think it might be a little bit tricky staying at Waterhayes with a buggy unless you are feeling strong - but Johns Deli at the bottom by the quay is full of delicious treats and The Flame Factory on the quay did lovely food with friendly service if you fancy a night out not cooking.

I am not a big fan of new build houses in general, but this is beautifully thought out and gorgeously decorated and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again - or even live there! - which is a real mark of how lovely it is.

Waterhayes is a new build and, as such, everything is modern, clean, well thought out and works!

From the moment of arrival, we fell in love with the place. The views from the first floor are wonderful and it is conveniently located. A five minute walk down the hill to the Quay where my son loved to fish and crab. The walk back up the hill is better than a step class!

We had various family members popping in to see us while there and the house is brilliant for entertaining. We will certainly be going back. Thank you for looking after us so well.
