Lyme Regis is a fabulous place to visit; hunt for fossils on Monmouth beach, browse the independent shops, or simply relax on the beach.
The beach at Seatown, with Golden Cap in the background and the award-winning Anchor Inn.
Nearby woodland walks are wonderful for you and your dog.
The cliffs at West Bay, where much of the series Broadchurch was filmed.
Weymouth is the nearest sandy beach and has a traditional Punch and Judy show during the peak summer months.
The picturesque village of Corfe, dominated by the castle.
Visit Kimmeridge and you are bound to find a fossil. The fabulous Etches Collection of fossils (collected from the beach over many years) is on display in the village.
The Sandbanks Ferry crosses the entrance to Poole Harbour and links Sandbanks with the fabulous beaches at Shell Bay and Studland.
A one hour drive will take you to the New Forest, where ponies, cattle, sheep and pigs roam free. Miles of paths and cycle tracks take you through ancient woodland and over open heath.
Spectacular views all along the coastline, this is Chesil beach, taken from the Isle of Portland.

We had an amazing week at Cedar Lodge. Sue and Tony were excellent hosts. We really enjoyed the freshly baked great and Swiss roll. The property is well located and easy to explore some lovely Dorset sites. Will definitely return.

What a lovely little cottage. Was very clean and tidy. Lovely enclosed garden. When we arrived we had a lovely loaf of fresh bread and a beautiful swiss roll left for us, plus fresh milk so we could have a coffee. Sue and Tony was the perfect hosts and we really enjoyed seeing all the horses. It really was the perfect place. We were all sad to leave and will definitely be back ??

We were very impressed by the quality of the furnishings. The enclosed garden was properly enclosed which kept our dog safe. The location was ideal for our plans and we hope to return.

Fantastic cottage, cosy and warm, extremely clean and well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. The location is ideal.
