Higher Yellands Cottage is a barn conversion in a quiet setting in beautiful east Devon.
This is the spacious first floor sitting room with a Juliette balcony overlooking the patio and towards the tennis court.
The open plan kitchen/dining-room is on the ground floor, as is the master en suite bedroom and family bathroom.
There is a fabulous tennis court. The owners will happily lend you racquets and balls if you do not have your own.
The beams are a reminder of the history of this barn conversion - take care where they are low at the edges of the room
Back downstairs the kitchen is really well-equipped. It opens onto a very sheltered enclosed patio.
There is plenty of space for the dining-table for happy family holiday meals although Whimple has two lovely pubs to choose from for eating out.
The master bedroom is on the ground floor and has a good sized en suite shower-room.
This is a very peaceful place to stay.
The family bathroom is also on the ground floor.
This bedroom can be set up as a single or as a twin room - there is a truckle bed with a proper mattress tucked beneath the bed in the photo.
This is the single bedroom, with views across the open farmland.
Parents can watch their children play tennis from the cottage balcony.
East Devon and west Dorset have a stunning coastline, the heritage Jurassic Coast.
Another view of the coastline - a very easy drive from the cottage.

We, 2 adults 3 children, highly enjoyed our stay at Higher Yellands Cottage. Very calm location, spacey, clean and fully equipped house with plenty of room for 5 people. Peacefull surrounding and absolutely lovely hosts! The tennis court is a super extra plus! We would definitely stay there again and honestly recommend Higher Yellands Cottage for a quiet holiday in Devon, just 15 minutes from the beaches and with all major attractions of Devon and Cornwall within reach for daily excursions by car! This is an excellent property with everything you could possibly need available. The owners were friendly and went over and above. Although slightly off the beaten track this was a good base to explore the area. We would not hesitate to return here.

Perfect cottage in a secluded village with all the comforts of home and then some! Just mind your head on the rafters! Cottage is amazingly quiet, with Chickens and Ducks to keep you company. Owners lovely! Cannot recommend this enough!
