We had a lovely time at this beautiful cottage. We have stayed at several cottages in Boscastle, and the great things about this one for us, was the dedicated parking at the front (parking can be tricky in Boscastle), the enclosed garden perfect for our dog and the overall decor / furnishings / character of the property. Would highly recommend....

Hill Cottage is all you'd expect from a Cornish fishing village. Quaint, pretty, full of history and on a steep hill, lined with lovely cottages and houses, down to the village proper. Huge bonus is parking (practise parallel parking on a hill!) and a sun trap garden that is private and lush with greenery. We think this is a sweet place to stay in summer. If staying in autumn or winter, take a warm cardi and enjoy using and cleaning out the wood burner (and buying more logs). If you are not as fit as you'd like or have any mobility issues, you might find the stairs to the main bedroom a challenge, odd heights and twists, especially at night if you need trips to the loo, and the hill down to the village a bit of a haul back up. Can highly recommend the Witchcraft Museum (spot the two-headed pig in a jar), a walk out to the sea and the Napoleon Inn just above the cottage (plenty of other places to eat in the village). Quiet in the day but very friendly and properly good food. Best burger we've had in ages. ...

A perfect location, everyhting we needed (family of four and a dog) in walking distance: A shop, a pub, bus station and foremost the scenery. Lots of different walks for our dog and us right at the doorstep: Forest, cliffs, meadows, river, town & harbour. A very cosy cottage that provided for everything we needed and even more. We received a super warm welcome from the owner (thanks again for the hint to Bossiney Cove!), including a Cornish Cream Tea. If only the stay would have been a month longer, we will surely come back to Hill Cottage....

Mark made sure the property was immaculate and supplied with a very appreciated bottle of chilled wine and scones for a cream tea. The endless touches around the cottage make you feel relaxed and instantly at home from the moment you cross the door step. Having a parking space is a fabulous bonus as they are normally rare. The eateries in Boscastle are all excellent from the splendid Wellington to the more rustic wholesome food at The Cob Web, and various flawless cafes dotted around the centre. The location is ideal regardless of where you want to explore, north to Bude or Widemouth, west towards Dartmoor or south to Tintagel, Padstow or Newquay. You wont want to leave......
