Mr Bradbury July 2018
Perfect location for those wanting to get away. The sound of crashing waves against the rocks, the totally stunning views and the excellent attention to detail of the apartment, made it the most wonderful break.
Mrs Harlow July 2018
We had a wonderful 10 days at Dodo’s Nest. The views are amazing and we found watching the ships and water activity very interesting. The apartment was prepared perfectly for our arrival and we had a wonderful welcome Cornish tea awaiting which was really delicious and generous along with other provisions left by the friendly and helpful owners. We loved the area and visited Antony House and Cotehele House both National Trust and Mount Edgcumbe -all very good days out. We loved the coastal walk to Kingsand and Cawsand both very pretty places to visit and good eating establishments. We very much liked the cafe at Kingsand where the food was excellent. The area is peaceful which is wonderful if you want to get away from busy lives. It is a hidden corner of Cornwall and was just what we hoped for and more.

The apartment was immaculate and the location absolutely stunning. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Best holiday rental I have ever been to.
Mr Ball May 2018
We had a brilliant week with the weather to match, the property is stunning in every way, facilities and location. There are several places to visit, all within 5-15 minutes drive, Mount Edgcumbe, Antony House, Kingsand and Cawsand with foot and vehicle ferries also close by for a trip to Plymouth. For the energetic the South West coast path passes by the property. We shopped for food on the route down just off the A38 at Saltash (Waitrose/Lidl) to avoid wasting time during the week. There are several excellent local places to eat out including the The Orangery at Mount Edgecumbe, the Canteen at Maker Heights and the Devonport Inn, Kingsand. Dodo's Nest is truly a lovely spot on the very edge of Plymouth Sound.
Mrs Devaney April 2018
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment in such a stunning location.
Mr Stratford March 2018
A fabulous apartment with stupendous views whatever the weather. Location is isolated and quiet (except for the sounds of the sea) excellent for those who want to get away from the urban/city lifestyles. Owners must be very proud to share their property, leaving freshly baked scones (with jam and clotted cream!), fresh eggs, milk, fresh roses and chocolates. They even contacted us on our day of arrival and again on the day before departure just to ensure all was well with Dodos Nest. Cannot recommend this location enough.
Mrs Williams January 2018
Dodos nest was the perfect break. Breathtaking views kept us at the windowall day. With quailty furnishings and comfort at the very heart of Dodos nest it was a treasure to find.
I would thoroughly recommend this. It has it all. The owners thought of everything and the cream tea they left for us was very welcome. A great Cornish treat. Can't wait to go back
Mr Baber November 2017
Just wonderful, Would recommend for a peaceful retreat. we will be back.
Ms Sinclair November 2017
If you love the sea then this is the ideal place for a get-away. The views are superb and the location is made for bird and boat watching, walking the coast path and sitting with a book to enjoy the view. It was an idyllic and remote location at the same time as being incredibly close to all the attractions of Plymouth.
Ms Gale October 2017
Wow! What an amazing place to stay! Dodo's Nest is perfect for a true get away from it all rest and relaxation holiday. From the moment I arrived I was hynotised by the view and found it very hard to tear myself away from watching the sailing boats, little ferries and ships drifting by out on the sea. The apartment is extremely comfortable with lots of luxury touches that make it feel very special. It has a fabulous bathroom with a deep bath and a great shower, a well equipped kitchen and a sofa that is so soft you won't want to move! A lot of thought has clearly gone into the needs of guests to ensure they have a really positive stay with little extras like eggs from the owners chickens to make you feel truly welcome. The location feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle but it is easy to get to local villages and Plymouth especially using the little local ferries. The surrounding countryside is glorious with Mount Edgecumbe and the South West Coast Path on your doorstep. The Rame Peninsular has lots to keep you amused and apart from hoping over to Plymouth on the ferry I didn't leave the peninsular all week. Andy and Charmaine are exceptional hosts. On the day I was due to arrive the Fort carpark was closed because of the risk of flooding due to adverse weather conditions. Charmaine phoned me earlier in the day to make me aware of this. My arrival was delayed by several hours due to terrible weather conditions and traffic accidents causing hold ups and Andy and Charmaine were concerned as I was travelling alone. Andy travelled a considerable distance to meet me off the Torpoint Ferry to make sure I arrived okay. I can't speak highly enough of them. They were so kind and thoughtful.

This apartment is a real couples' hideaway. Although it is a studio apartment it is divided into areas and you have plenty of room whilst still feeling cosy.
The view is stunning and the sound of the sea is always with you. The view keeps drawing you back outside onto the balcony, plus there is always lots of shipping and pleasure craft to watch, including naval vessels as Devonport is just around the headland.
The apartment faces south in about the centre of the curve of the fort so you get a good view along the coast to Kingsand and Cawsand, and also eastwards towards the entrance to Plymouth Sound. When the sun is out it can be a real suntrap.
The decor is beautiful and stylish, the soft furnishings plush, and you get the feeling that everything is well thought out. I loved the picture of a couple together on the beach watching the sunset. Even the crockery is lovely. It felt nice being the first couple to rent this fabulous holiday apartment - everything brand new!
The building has lifts which is great for people like me with some mobility issues - but be aware the apartment has a few steps.
It was great to have Wi-Fi and Netflix for when we weren't looking out of the window! But be aware there is no dishwasher, - but washing up for two with such a view was no chore. (bring your Marigolds!)
The owners: Charmaine and Alan went out of their way to ensure we had a fabulous time, phoning on our first day to ensure all was well.
We were visited by a Death's Head Hawk Moth (huge - 5 inches across!) and managed to break a lamp in trying to shoo it out without hurting it. We emailed and telephoned the owners, who again were very friendly and helpful, ensuring this didn't spoil our holiday, and kept us informed about the replacement.
Our last full day was our wedding anniversary and we wanted to celebrate that evening, so it was a nice touch to get a phone message from Charmaine telling us that there was no need to be out in a hurry the next morning as there was no-one arriving that day. So we did as we were told and had a leisurely last morning!
Such a super holiday! Sad to have to go home :(
