Hockings Green is a beautiful barn conversion. Everything is of a high standard and spotlessly clean, just perfect! We will definitely return.

June 2018

We could not fault the cottage in any way. We had a lovely time staying there.

June 2018

Beautiful cottage equipped with everything you will need. Clean, comfortable and well-maintained with free wi-if and Now tv. Although the cottage is attached to another you have plenty of space to yourselves and are not over-looked. Plenty of room for parking and a lovely garden to relax in. Warm welcome from Jacqui, the owner; there was even a cream tea waiting for us when we arrived. The owners are very helpful but unobtrusive and found somewhere for us to store our bikes safely when we weren't using them. Hocking's Green is in a very quiet spot despite being just off the A38 - this makes it very conveniently placed for travelling around Cornwall and Devon. It is only 5 minutes drive to Liskeard station from where you can get mainline trains to Penzance and Plymouth or the little branch line down to Looe. Parking at the station is cheap and fares reasonable. There are great coastal walks east and west from Looe and good buses if you don't want to walk both ways. If you like cycling try the Camel Trail via Bodmin. This goes up to Padstow, is flat and off-road with lots of stopping places if you need another cream tea; bikes can be hired at several points. We had a lovely week at Hockings Green and would recommend it unreservedly.

April 2018

Honestly without a question of doubt that this was one of the greatest places we chose, in such a remote area, peaceful, visually pleasant and exceeded mine and my girlfriends expectations of the place although it rained most of the time (typical England) staying in watching movies, snacking on wine & cheese with candles lit aside and having the wooden fire on just made it that 10000000% better and perfect.

We arrived fairly late and Jacqui waited up to greet us which was ever wonderful, her hospitality was just the best!

Would honestly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from the busy city life, also 1 week is not enough, you want to stay at least 10 days!

Amazing place!

October 2017

We received a very warm welcome from Jacqui and Graham along with a lovely cream tea to start our holiday. They put milk in the fridge along with tea, coffee and sugar a nice touch. The cottage is spacious, clean, and very well equipped, and the beds are very comfortable. A very quiet location away from the busy roads. The cottage is ideally located to discover the north and south coasts of Cornwall Less than half an hour to Fowey, Looe, Pollpero and only 45 minutes to Padstow and the North coast This was our first visit to Hocking Green and looking forward to going back again next year
