The wonderful welcoming sitting-room has an inglenook fireplace and a wood-burning stove.
This cottage has fabulous gardens - all safely enclosed which is such a bonus.
The beautifully equipped kitchen. The table extends to seat 5 guests very comfortably.
The garden is not overlooked and for convenience there is a back door this side of the cottage.
This is another view of the kitchen. Beyond it is a downstairs WC and a utility-area, and then the back door.
Guests have a real welcome when they arrive at Appletree Cottage.
The kitchen has a window seat too and the view is down towards the heart of the village and the church.
The cottage is really well-equipped if you want to cook and eat at home.
This is the entrance hall with the stairs leading up to the bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor.
This is the main bedroom with its king-size bed and pretty views to the front of the cottage
Everything is so tranquil here. Broadhembury is a magical village to stay in.
This is the single bedroom, the first room you reach at the top of the stairs.
Another view of the single bedroom. It has plenty of space and looks out to the front of the cottage.
You will feel very much at home here in this friendly cottage and very friendly village.
The third bedroom has 3ft bunk-beds. The top bunk is suitable for children only.
Books and games for children to keep them occupied if you should have any rainy days but hopefully they will spend their time in the lovely garden.

From the moment we walked through the door at Appletree cottage, we felt instantly at home. The cottage is welcoming, warm, cosy and immaculately presented. We were further spoilt by the array of goodies left by Sarah the owner, who came to say hello and check that we had everything we needed, which was a lovely touch. Broadhembury is a beautiful friendly village, with a welcoming pub serving good food and also a handy post office and shop. Many thanks.

Appletree is a beautiful cottage in a delightful setting. It was home from home (and the local pub is great)!

August 2019

The owner, Sarah Drew was very friendly and helpful.

June 2019

We really enjoyed our stay at Appletree cottage, it has a lovely restful atmosphere, well furnished and spotlessly clean. One of the few cottages we would not hesitate to recommend.

June 2019

Our second stay was just as good as the first, the quality of everything in the cottage is very good a real comfortable home from home. The owners Sarah and Mike live nearby and made us very welcome .

June 2019

Appletree Cottage is really special, full of character, spotlessly clean and comfortable, a real 'home from home'. It has a lovely garden too to enjoy on the sunny days.

It is ideally situated in a very pretty village and it is only a short drive to the coast and the many other lovely places to visit in East Devon.

May 2019

Our stay at the cottage was delightful from the first moment we arrived. Everything was there to make a coffee and feed the kids an enjoyable snack. Furnishings were tasteful and the village location excellent, which we prefer over a completely remote location.

East Devon is an amazing part of the country and a great place for the kids to see and explore.

This is probably the first cottage we have been to where there was enough room for our family of five. so we probably be booking again in the near future.

Comfortable, functional space/ base for a small family or couple. Well equipped kitchen. Friendly village and homeowners, good food at the pub. Nice area to walk around.

December 2018

Appletree Cottage is perfect in every way. The personal touches the welcome pack, the greeting from Sarah, the lovely orchard and overall ambiance. We stayed twice in 2018 and already looking to book in 2019. Spacious rooms, spotlessly clean, lovely grounds for dogs/children. Great pub nearby serving delicious food. A haven for wildlife lovers, bird spotters and star gazers.

September 2018

This was the nicest holiday home we have ever stayed in,a real home from home.the proximity of the motorway enabled us to cover the coast from West bay to Brixham with ease.
