We had a wonderful week at the cottage and were made to feel more than welcome by the hosts Sally and Robin. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We travelled there by train as there are numerous bus and train links from Penzance so it is very easy to explore a large area without a car. It's about a 20 minute walk to either Penzance or Newlyn. Or you can hop on/off the Lands End coast bus to get all around the coast. We used this to complete sections of the coast path. Two of the closest pubs (The Pirate and Bath Inn) both have gardens if it's sunny, the Navy Inn also does good pub food. It's about a 20 minute walk to either Penzance or Newlyn. St Ives is also less than an hour away by train. Or you can just relax in the lovely garden if the weather's good!

Had a fantastic week at Love Lane Cottage. The property itself is lovely and secluded and you can sit listening to the birds all day and watching the squirrels at play. Thanks to our lovely hosts Sally and Robin who are on hand everyday to offer advice and details about the area. If you are feeling energetic and don't wish to move the car much like us the coastal paths are great. We walked to Marizion and back and also Newlyn and Mousehole. Not to far to drive to St Ives which we did. Plenty of supermarkets close and great places to eat out and sample plenty of Cornish ales and ciders. Weather was amazing all week which of course makes a difference, but I would imagine the cottage is great in all seasons. Would not hesitate in going back again. Would highly recommend to a couple who want to explore the far West of Cornwall.

If you want the best of both a rural cottage with the ease of access to amenities of a town this is the one. Located on an almost-pedestrian lane both seafront and town are easily walkable with Newlyn only a short distance away. Several bus routes are close by too, and as others have said, you hardly need to move your car. The large garden is tranquil and filled with birdlife and a family of squirrels whose babies amused us playing tag with each other.

We enjoyed our stay in this cosy cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at Love Lane cottage. The cottage itself was very well appointed and comfortable and set in charming grounds. Our hosts, Robin and Sally we're friendly and informative. The location is within easy walking distance of Penzance and Newlyn and local public transport is excellent. We didn't use the car all week!

Love Lane Cottage is a unique place of beauty and tranquility. The perfect place to spend wonderful moments enjoying the beautiful place, garden and surroundings, forgetting about time and being in the very moment. It is beautifully set up, very well tended to and it resembles taste and and love. Sally and Robin are the most wonderful, caring hosts and we learned so much about the area and cornish lifestyle from them. The creamy tea, scones, clotted butter and Strawberry jam -a very special treat and much aprreciated as a welcome gift to feel immediately at home.

Lovely, comfortable cottage with wonderful hosts on hand for any issues. Just a short walk into Penzance, so an ideal location and base. Very quiet and well-equipped for a couple.

Sally and Robin were fantastic hosts - very friendly and accommodating - lovely people - couldn't have wished for more from them. A pretty cottage, that was bright and airy and immaculately clean, in a unique setting. Thank you.

Love Lane cottage is ideally placed to visit and explore south west Cornwall . Local shops , the sea and a beach is within walking distance , there are plenty of pubs local too . Definitely worth a visit if you are a couple visiting Penzance /Newlyn/ Mousehall or Marizion

A lovely cottage in a quiet location on the edge of Penzance - only 20 minutes walk to the train station with bus stops nearby. Lidl and a Coop are less than 10 minutes walk away.

Great little cottage in an excellent location for exploring this part of Cornwall. Very comfortable and well equipped and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

The property was more delightful than the brochure details and the owners were so welcoming and helpful. A week was not long enough.

Love Lane Cottage is a beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean converted stable down a quiet, leafy lane in Penzance. Hosts Sally and Robin are so helpful and kind. A truly lovely stay.

Charming owners who made us feel so welcome. Infomative & helpful. Tucked away in a leafy lane could be in the countryside when in fact just off Penzance promenade. A haven. Just love the area.

Sally and Robin were fantastic hosts and extremely helpful. Lovely quiet location and convenient for Penzance. Very comfortable stay.

The combination of our hosts Robin &Sally, the location, and glorious weather combined to make this a fantastic holiday.

Well worth a visit, a beautifully presented cottage within walking distance of both Penzance and Newlyn and I actually walked to Mousehole too. Fabulous local restaurants nearby. Fabulous Hosts. All in all great value for money too.

Lovely cottage, great location 5 minutes walk to Penzance or Newlyn yet felt like a rural location.

We enjoyed staying in this well cared for cottage. Sally and Robin were excellent hosts. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings as well as the walks into Penzance and Newlyn.

Lovely characterful cottage for two. Very comfortable. Our second visit so you can tell we loved staying in Love Lane Cottage. It was lovely seeing Sally and Robin again. They are very warm and friendly and if we visit Penzance again we will certainly book it again.

A hidden gem.

Love Lane Cottage is a lovingly converted old stable. The decoration is smart, tasteful and stylish, and has been very sympathetically done to honour the original style of the building, and the cottage is beautifully furnished. It also boasts the biggest bed I've ever slept in!

The kitchen equipment is all of good quality and in perfect working order - I used some of the pots & pans, the oven, microwave, hob and toaster, and have no complaints with any of them. It was also lovely to have a cafetiere. I was very impressed with the kitchen knives; they were all nice and sharp, which isn't always the case with a holiday let. I'm a big fan of antique/vintage and unusual china, so was in my element with the lovely things Sally has on display; it was a pleasure to eat in (and we'd recommend the Pirate Inn just down the lane for some excellent meals out, including a superb Sunday lunch.)

A lovely addition was the snuggly blanket on the sofa - I wrapped this round my shoulders as I had a glass of wine watching the snow fall on the Sunday we were there, so thanks to the 'mini beast from the East' for adding another element to a gorgeous holiday destination.

Robin and Sally were perfect hosts; warm, friendly, welcoming and generous - Robin even came down to find us when we got lost looking for Love Lane (which isn't signposted from the direction it's recommended you approach it.) Love Lane Cottage is a wonderful holiday home from home, and we would very happily go back if we stay in the Penzance area again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Love Lane Cottage. The cottage was lovely and the owners were really helpful. It was very quiet and peaceful but close enough to walk to Penzance or Newlyn. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a cottage in the Penzance area.

An ideal retreat for a couple who want to get away from it all.but still be close to amenities and the beach! Sally and Robin Wilkins ,the owners, live next door ,they are a lovely friendly helpful couple, which was great for us as my husband was ill during our stay resulting in a trip to a local surgery and our holiday being cut short.

Sally and Robin were excellent hosts. The property was even nicer than the pictures and fully stocked. We would strongly recommend to others.

A beautifully finished and appointed cottage in a quiet and secluded location, with friendly and helpful owners on hand in the main house next door. Penzance town centre and Newlyn are both easily walkable (15 minutes each). No hesitation in recommending this cottage and location. Lovely hearing Owls hooting at night!

Amazing cottage in lovely location. Excellent hosts

Very quiet and peaceful. The best holiday we have had. Look forward to going back again.

Relaxing, idyllic, secluded accommodation tucked away down a leafy lane on the edge of Penzance. This is now our favourite in the Classic Cottage selection, recently converted stables, very tastefully presented with modern amenities. The shared large garden with a variety of mature trees and shrubs, and a wild area is a bonus. We enjoyed lying in bed looking out to the garden, waking to bird song and dining outside in suitable weather. The owners were friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they catered for our every need as well as being knowledgeable about the local area for ideas on where to visit next. The nearest shops and pub are only half a mile away and only a short walk to the town centre.

We had a wonderful time at Love Lane Cottage. The hosts were extremely hospitable and very friendly.

Thank you for a great holiday

Beautiful situation, very easy to visit other places in the region. Great to have parking. Cottage was very nicely presented and very comfortable. Lovely big bed for my 6'4 & partner !!

What a lovely cottage. Perfect for two people. Beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Also everything was brand new. The owners were welcoming and friendly and helpful. We would go and stay there again.

First to use the cottage, great location, very peaceful but within easy reach of all amenities of Penzance. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay, ideal for a couple looking for a relaxing break. Robin and Sally were great hosts and were on hand if needed. Would not hesitate to return if down that way again.
