The island in the kitchen is perfect for those pre dinner drinks and nibbles.
The dining-area enjoys the best of the views - that is if you are not eating outside in the fresh air.

The flagstone flooring and little hallway make this a really practical place to stay with a dog.
Bedroom one is on the ground floor with a double bed, TV and en suite shower-room.

We had a wonderful week at Great Ash Barn. It is a fantastic property benefiting from a truly idealic location, with amazing views. The property is furnished to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. Steph is a lovely host and provided us with plenty of farm fresh eggs and a tasty home cooked cake. Our 3 dogs enjoyed the garden which is totally enclosed and safe. Many a sunny day ended toasting marshmallows around the firepit. ...

The property was everything we wanted and more, the views over the countryside incorporating the calves, ducks, hens and pigmy goats were beautiful. The hosts were absolutely lovely, nothing was too much trouble, they ensured our stay was a memorable one. Everything for the dogs had been thought of, it was a true holiday for them too and we took advantage of the dog shower to freshen them up. It is a perfect base to explore the whole of Devon and the west of Dorset, I even got used to the narrow country roads, it all adds to the experience. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful house, you will truly have a memorable holiday that you will want to return to....

We holiday at a lot of cottages and properties. This one is by far and away the best equipped, quietest, most comfortable property we have ever stayed in. Steph has provided everything we could wish for to make the stay as perfect as possible. We didn't take any kids or dogs but both would have been catered for to perfection. Walking down to the hen enclosure for our eggs was great, the hens appreciated our food scraps, the pygmy goats were such fun to watch and fuss. I cannot praise this property enough. Oh yes, Steph's cake was wonderful. Went down well with the family and friends....
