Long Beam Barn is set within a small group of properties, including the Owners' next door and two cottages opposite.
The open plan living-room, with the double bedroom en suite at one end and the twin room at the other.
The kitchen is a social space where the cook can chat whilst preparing breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The garden is a good size and mainly enclosed.
There is a raised deck in the garden, this can be accessed on the level through the garden gate or up a small flight of steps from the cottage.
The double bedroom.
The spacious twin bedroom has three-foot single beds so is suitable both for adults and children.
The family bathroom is between the kitchen and the twin bedroom.
A flight of stairs lead up to the snug where there is a TV, books and lots of games for the younger ones.
Looking towards the twin room and the stairs up to the mezzanine snug.
The garden runs alongside the cottage with the Owners farmhouse at the rear of the picture.
Room to dine under the beams.
The kitchen is to the front of the barn and overlooks the parking area.
The double bedroom has an en suite shower-room.
There are a few steps down to the twin room.
Looking down over the living-room from the snug.
There is parking to the front of the cottage.
The family bathroom is spacious and has a bath and an electric shower.
The en suite shower-room has a large double cubicle.
The location of the barn is close to the site of the old railway line and many of the old bridges still remain.
When you see these signs you are nearly there, follow this lane up to the barn, parts of the lane are unmade but not too bumpy.
The pretty harbour town at nearby Porthleven has become a real 'foodie destination' in the last few years and is definitely worth a visit.
A pasty on the beach from the local bakery or lunch at one of the many local fish and seafood restaurants or pubs, it is all here in Porthleven.
Your four legged friend can come too!
Visit the fabulous long sandy beach at Praa Sands a short drive up the road or if you have your four legged friend with you Rinsey Cove is a favourite.
Looking back to the barn from the end of the garden.
A sunny spot for a drink or dining al fresco on a warm evening.

We had a great family break and the cottage made it all the better. Perfectly situated for exploring the south west in a peaceful and tranquil location. The owners as others have put are genuinely nice people who are helpful and friendly and not at all intrusive. The property is tastefully decorated, clean and very comfortable, a large enclosed back garden makes it perfect if you bring your four legged family member with you. Close to all amenities and plenty of dog friendly beaches within the area. We had a great family holiday and none of us wished to come home, would thoroughly recommend this property to all who are thinking of holidaying in this area.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in his wonderful property.

The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived with comfortable furnishings and fantastic showers. The owners, Des and Jane were very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful cottage in a tranquil location. Perfectly placed to explore this beautiful part of Cornwall and to visit the lovely local beaches, villages etc. Child friendly with a pleasant garden and very well equipped. Friendly, welcoming owners who advised us on the locality and recommended places to visit.

The property was in a quiet location and a great base from which to explore south west cornwall. The Lizard, St Ives, Lands End, Penzance etc were all within easy reach. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return in the future.

Our family had a lovely week in this property. A welcome gift for both us and our dog on arrival was a nice touch. The property is comfortable and has everything you need. It's well located for South Cornwall attractions and Newquay is only 50 mins. We saw so much while here. The owners are helpful and friendly but do not intrude on your holiday. WiFi would be a bonus as phone signal very patchy. Would recommend.

Thanks so much for your review of Long Beam Barn - it's great to hear you had such a wonderful holiday overall. Mobile signal can be a little hit and miss in some rural locations so our best recommendation is to have a look at the network coverage maps for the area for more information. We'll certainly pass on your suggestion regarding WiFi to the owners - thank you. Bryony, Customer Support

Very comfortable and a little bit quirky. Ideal for dog owners. Lovely quiet location that is very convenient for going to both the north and south coasts.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Long Beam Barn. The accommodation was top notch and is perfectly placed to explore the best of Cornwall. Both our kids didn't want to leave... neither did I.

A stylish cottage, tucked away down country lanes, but very central for visiting both north and south coasts.

One of the loveliest couple and gorgeous properties we hsve used in our 20 years of using Classic and visiting Cornwall. Peace and quiet yet central to most areas.
