Superb accommodation, set in an idyllic corner of the UK. Furthermore, the bed in the en-suite room is the comfiest we have ever slept in. We were able to shed the stresses of everyday life after spending just one night in this perfect bungalow. We cannot praise it enough.

we loved this cottage. it has a lovely feel and layout. Plenty of comfortable spaces to relax and chill out. well designed interior. great views. lots of wonderful walks nearby.

The owner, Sarah, was wonderful. She was really helpful and caring, and there were so many beautiful extra touches to make us feel welcome. It was easy to tell she and her husbands are artists by the beautiful colours and decor throughout the whole house, as well as the array of artwork. It was such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay, and we are grateful to Sarah for making it even more special.

June 2017

We spent two wonderful weeks at the Favonian in wonderful surroundings and felt really comfortable from the beginning. Many thanks to our landlady Sarah, who has spoilt us four and our dog very much. The house has a stunning location and is very well and extremely tastefully decorated. The large garden leaves nothing to be desired. We still often think back to the good times and hope that we will come back soon!

June 2017

We arrived slightly early but the owner was most helpful and we were soon moving in. Liked the welcome tray and wild flower posy. The cottage lay-out is unusual but inspired. Architectural details excellent. There were good libraries of books, DVDs, CDs and games. The mix was eclectic and much enjoyed. I think this is the first cottage I have stayed in where the kitchen knives were beautifully sharp! The views were stunning. Wish we had booked for two weeks! We certainly hope to go back to Favonian soon.

Lovely cottage, great views, very welcoming to humans and dogs.

May 2017

We enjoyed our stay very much and felt at home the day we arrived. The Cottage is furnishesd in the best of taste and very well aquipped. We have been wellcomed very friendly by Mrs. Lay. We enjoyed every day the panoramic view from every part of the house and the walks that start just from the frontdoor. We wished we could have stayed longer. (please excuse my English)

May 2017

We have stayed in many rental houses in the UK and overseas but this was our favourite ever. A beautifully laid out home which made us feel like we were staying in a friend's home rather than in a rental property. Immaculately clean, high level of attention to detail - from local handmade soaps in the bathrooms to welcome posies, a tray of local tea-time treats and even fresh water and a treat for our dog. Very comfortable beds and furnishings and well equipped kitchen too - sharp knives, butter dish, a good selection of pans etc, none of which are to be found in most rental properties. We were delighted that the owner, Sarah, was able to recommend dog sitters which allowed us to go out to the Minack theater one evening and on an afternoon sailing trip, knowing that our dog was well looked after and even walked. Favonian's location means it's an ideal spot for a holiday with a dog - coastal paths from the doorstep, a local community farm shop just across the fields for fresh eggs etc, and local dog-friendly buses if you have particularly long walks! We are looking forward to a return visit before too long...

Favonian is in a stunning location with fabulous sea views from almost every window. A very relaxing place to stay. You can walk to St Just from the cottage. There are dog walks right from the door step which is great.
