Stunning location, well appointed kitchen & bathroom but very uncomfortable mattress and couch. Hopefully the owner will replace these and then we would highly recommend staying here!

We're thrilled you enjoyed your stay - we've shared your thoughts with the owners to consider when planning future improvements. We appreciate your recommendation and would love to welcome you back again soon. Julie, Customer Support

This was such a lovely place to stay, highly recommend it. The bed was super comfy and the electric blanket in the safari tent was such a nice touch. Lovely walks and places to have a picnic and we fell in love with the friendly ducks. So peaceful, just what we needed.

Roseland Valley Retreat surpassed our expectations. It has a beautiful sense of privacy. The owner is conscientious and welcoming. The surroundings are idyllic. We took our young boys (6 and 2), and my elderly mother with us. It is a private paradise for young kids to explore, and it feels almost greedy to have so much space all to yourself. If you're like us and dislike "glamping" where you have dozens of neighbours a few metres away, you'll appreciate the value on offer here - it really is just you.

Peaceful and a unique place to stay, set in extensive woodland. Great for family groups with good facilities overall

If you want to get away from it all and seek a tranquil and beautiful place with little to distract you. No telly, no wifi etc then you will love this secluded idyll. A beautiful setting and we found lovely walks etc and National Trust visits.

The cabin was fantastic! In a great location for exploring nearby attractions. The cabin itself was nice and peaceful and set in beautiful surroundings, the outside space was a real bonus and our little girl loved running around the grounds, the picnic area, playing on the swings etc and we enjoyed the BBQ and fire pit.

Lovely back to nature holiday! Beautiful quiet location, zero light pollution. Just a perfect spot for a nice peaceful holiday. Lovely owners too, would definitely return.

We had a great week staying in Roseland Valley Retreat. The cabin and tent were very cosy and comfortable, and provided everything we needed. The grounds were amazing, and our children enjoyed exploring all the hidden bridges and rope swings around the stream.

Great location and accommodation for being apart of the outdoors. A balance of simple seclusion and amenities and at the same time comfortable. while located for easy access to wider areas of interest. Owners have put a lot of thought into the above and were helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great stay.

Roseland Valley Retreat is a fantastic, relaxing place from which to enjoy this lovely part of the country. The amount of outside space is phenomenal, and the surroundings are beautiful. Our host was exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Beautiful location and accommodation and loved having such a large space all to ourselves. The welcome bottles of fizz were much appreciated and the beds were really comfy. The grounds were well maintained so playing games in the meadow and going for walks were a pleasure. Loved the fire pit where lots of marshmallows were toasted! We had a lovely break and can also thoroughly recommend the Kings Arms in Tregony for excellent food and exceptional service

Lovely remote setting in a wooded valley, although village only half a mile away for pub and shop. Would recommend to anyone looking to retreat and switch off for a week.

The cottage was exactly as described. A wonderful place for a family to spend time together. It is a camping experience, and it is worth remembering that. The peace was outstanding, and just what we all needed.

Great place for a peaceful break.

Me and my fiance absolutely loved everything about out stay. It was just perfect for us; emersed in nature where all you can hear are the birds and the stream, situated close enough to the beach and the city to visit lots of the area but tucked away when you return, and (as he is a chef) equipped with all we needed to make meals and have a bbq. It truly was a magical experience and we are looking forward to returning.

Absolutely sunning place for a well-needed escape. All amenities were very well thought of and felt like there was thought for even the children and the place had an enchanting character to it. Space was spotless and the showers are to die for! Amazing water pressure... even for the outside shower which I had to try out. Very well thought out space. Loved it.. even with the unpredictable October weather... we still enjoyed our time away. Shame we didn't get to meet the owners, but if we had, I would've love to know the inspiration behind Roseland Valley Retreat. No WiFi and 4G reception is poor, which was fine for me but the teenager among us found it difficult. Didn't take away from the experience so would definitely stay again!

The outside space was fantastic and we really enjoyed using it

It’s really cosy and a place you can really relax at. Wood burner made it lovely.

You can also park right in front of the property which is very useful Accessibility

The outdoor shower was invigorating and great to use.

Very private and you can stay at this property and feel secluded

Although we had an enjoyable stay, all in all, I feel we had a better experience last time.

The place is beautiful and charming, very unique, for someone who likes privacy and being away from day to day rush and business. Convenient to travel around Cornwall, 30min to Newquay, 40min to St Ives, 15 min to Mevagissey, 20mins to St Meawes. Great for kids, I felt very safe there, even noone around:)Lake with ducks, fields with barbecue spots and lovely hammock in the middle of nowhere, football pitch and bonfire spot everything for you only.

Lovely location under trees and beside large duck pond. Children loved exploring the woods.

Everything was immaculate. Beds and sofas all amazingly comfortable. All the kitchen cooking equipment we would need with plastic sets of everything for outdoor use. Brand new BBQ with tools and charcoal and wood for the fire. There was even a memory stick in the TV with a load of films on! The shower was better than ours at home. Wifi would have been nice although I completely understand the idea of switching off from the outside world for the week here, especially in such an amazing location. Was nice to be greeted on arrival with a cold bottle of bubbly and smile. The whole grounds were amazing all to ourselves and although the main house is close, we would never have known. We all absolutely loved all the fresh cut paths through the fields and the football field and were completely at ease to let the kids go and explore, which they did every day and loved having the freedom to do so jumping the stream and climbing the ropes. I haven't stayed anywhere with such silence before and we all found it very relaxing and worth every penny. The icing on the cake was the addition of the beautiful safari tent at the lake. We would definitely recommend.

An excellent property if you're looking for a quiet, 'getting away from it all' kind of break. The whole family enjoyed exploring the extensive grounds, waking to the sounds of nature and the novelty of the safari tent facing out to the lake. The small football pitch also helped to keep the children (and parents) busy as we all managed a week without wifi! We would definitely consider staying there again.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! A beautiful place to stay and 'get away from it all'. There is so much land attached to the property to explore with endless birdsong! We particularly enjoyed sleeping in the tent and being able to see the geese landing on the lake, from there, in the morning. We enjoyed spending time around the bonfire in the evening and listening to the owls. A very special place that we hope to return to.

I would highly recommend Roseland Valley Lodge. The accommodation is charming and in a beautiful and peaceful location!

A fantastic Cabin in a very secluded and quiet setting, a perfect place to escape to for peace and quiet The Owners Property was close by, but you would not know they were there in a good way We had an issue on the second day as the TV broke, Nigel was straight down and replaced it within hours, what more can you ask The Bed in the Tent overlooking the lake was divine to sleep in, amazing nights sleep every night Had great evenings by the fire pit just relaxing in the tranquillity Would highly recommend this to all friends and family who want to escape from the rat race, we hope to return soon

Brilliant Getaway! Peaceful and teanquil. Very friendly hosts & the outdoor spaces were brilliant for the kids!

We ( Dad, Mum and 3 kids) enjoyed our stay very much. The pictures on the website did not lie the premisses is fabulous. The kids most enjoyed the soccer field and fire spot. Mum and dad enjoyed the peace, quiet and beauty of the area around the cabin. We had breakfast each morning just in front of the cabin, with beautiful view over a small pond, with water birds, fish and dragonflies starting their day aswell. In the evening we had diner there and were suprised by bats and owls. We would have booked longer if it would have been possible. So certainly to be recommended.

If you are looking for a glamping hoilday this is just fine. A lovely peaceful location with easy access to all the local places. eden project is a must and can't speak highly enough about the Kings Arms pub in Tregony, excellent food and service.

Superb location for exploring Cornwall, very clean comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting. Ideal if you are after a peaceful break. Small shop only a few minutes away for essentials, bigger supermarkets and shops only a 15 min drive away. Lots of lovely beaches and villages within a short drive. The pub in the village was superb and highly recommended! Would definitely visit again

The Roseland Valley Retreat is a wonderful, beautiful and peaceful place to stay. It really does feel like you are 'getting away from it all', making it a perfect retreat. We went to sleep with bird song and woke to bird song, and enjoyed watching swallows nesting in the eaves. The hot outdoor shower was a joy, it was like bathing in the forset! Nigel and his family made us feel very welcome and there was a lovely bottle of fizz waiting for us on arrival. We really didn't want to leave our cosy cabin in the woods!

Absolutely fantastic break and location was beautiful and accommodation more than five stars in my view, Jo was very accommodating, we will definitely be back and recommend the retreat to anyone who wants to have a peaceful and relaxing break

I booked this stay as a Christmas present for my partner and it really was the enchanting, secluded get away that I'd hoped for. We enjoyed every moment of our 3 night stay and have listed just some of the things that we loved, below:

  • The cabin felt totally private and hidden away beautifully in the woods.
  • Dinner with the lake view was so peaceful.
  • The cabin is wonderfully spacious and open plan.
  • The log fire (also, the owners went out of their way to give us extra wood at no cost, as it was particularly chilly during our stay).
  • The owners themselves who both popped in to say hello and make us feel welcome.
  • 30 acres of surrounding woodlands to explore.
  • So many lovely little touches, from the authentic African furniture to the hammock in the woods, bottle of wine, dvds, boardgames, blankets, hot water bottles.

The perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Just as beautiful as the pictures suggest. If you want to leave stress and noise, this is the place to stay. Nigel was the perfect host, with very useful local recommendations and made us feel very welcome. The cottage has an amazing view of the surrounding landscape, and beautifully remote. A short drive or walk to a small down but every accessible to anywhere in Cornwall- we will be back!

Fantastic location and great for family and friend getaway! We hope to revisit very soon. Kudos to Nigel and Jo for their hospitality.

The location is stunning and if you wish to stay somewhere a little different this is the place to stay.
