1 Coastguard Cottages is the end of this very pretty row of just five beautiful cottages facing the sea.
There is a very pretty sitting out area under the trees in the side garden - as well as one in the courtyard at the back of the cottage.
The cottages are set back from the road by their long front gardens. No 1 has a garden to its side but all the cottages can use the path from Quay Street.
The whole cottage has just been renovated and has many of its original period features at the same time as being very comfortably furnished and well-equipped for holiday guests.
The kitchen/breakfast-room then leads to the living-room which is at the front of the house, with wonderful sea views.
There is a contemporary kitchen and beyond it the back door to the courtyard and a separate WC.
There is a very clever, and a bit quirky!, space under the stairs which is large enough for the washing machine. Low door though so mind your head.
The double bedroom with sea views to take in from your bed - what a way to start the day. The little Victorian fireplace is a lovely feature.
This bedroom has a tiny little ensuite WC and wash basin - the door is just behind the open bedroom door in this photo.
The second bedroom has twin beds but these can be made into a 6 ft king-size double if you wish.
There is a very happy holiday feel to this lovely cottage.
The bathroom is downstairs, off the kitchen. The bath is 3/4 size. There is a wall fixing half way along the length of the bath ( new photo coming ) so that you can fit the hand held shower there if
You will feel at home here whatever the time of year and whether for a family seaside holiday or a walking holiday, the location is excellent.
The attention to detail at 1 Coastguards Cottages makes it feel like a real home from home.
Start off the day with coffee in the garden whilst you decide whether to wander down to the beach or the quay, or to head up to Exmoor or along the South West Coastal Path to Porlock
The gardens are not formally enclosed but you have the whole of the side garden as your dedicated outside space. This photo shows your front door.
This is the view from the front bedroom window. A path runs down the middle of these long front gardens and this is for all the cottages to use for direct access to the Esplanade.
There is a pretty courtyard at the back of the cottage too where you can sit and relax. There is pedestrian access to the other cottages along the top of the courtyard area.
This is your very own tropical palm tree - this photo shows the path to the other cottages. The cottage and your courtyard area are just out of this shot to the right.
This is the side path for your cottage, leading from the front door to the courtyard and back door with the beautifully planted garden off to the left.
Enjoy the easy access to the sea front from this cottage.
The Esplanade takes you all the way to the old Quay to the left and to the town and the beaches to the right.

This is a lovely place, set in a beautiful garden, with wonderful views of Bristol Sound. We were there during hot weather, but the cottage stayed cool and comfortable, with the help of sea breezes. Very convenient for walking in Exmoor, and convenient to the shopping district as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Loved everything about Coastguards Cottage. Cottage was exactly as described. Wonderfully equipped. Fabulous location. And perfectly clean and comfy. Loved the kitchen and the woodburning stove. And bedrooms were cosy and comfortable. Everything we needed was taken care of. Would highly recommend. And we'd happily return to stay there again.

This a very well kept lovingly presented, warm and homely cottage to rent. The location by the sea is great, the heating is lovely and has a log fire. It is so clean and tidy and well I can't compliment it enough. Would recommend this to all. We are booking here again hopefully next year.
