This is a uniquely beautiful place to go on a memorable holiday
Mrs Goodman July 2020
Our third visit to this cottage and this area of Cornwall which we love. Property is close to all the best things the area has, but for us, the property location is also quiet and private place to stay.
Mrs Sauerburger January 2020
Great lovely cosy cottage, peaceful surrounding, near to beach, great walks around, big enough for a family of 6.
Ms Stevens October 2019
A beautifully appointed cottage with a generous garden, in a wonderfully quiet spot, close to the beaches and coastal path.
Mrs Goodman July 2019
This is the second time we’ve stayed at Rosteague Lodge. We love the Portscatho area and enjoy our holidays there. The Lodge is a beautiful, private location so you can enjoy the beach, walks and restaurants in the area, coming back to a very private house for family time.
Great walks straight from the house and the rest that Roseland has to offer is within easy access.
Mr Boxall June 2019
Lovely peaceful location. Very private. Comfortable spacious house. Very comfortable beds. Ten minutes walk through grounds to lovely beach and coastal walks.
Mr Woollard April 2019
We wanted to stay in this cottage because it was designed by Harrison Townsend - a notable Edwardian architect famed for his Art Nouveau buildings in London. This is obviously a modest building but it has much charm and some very attractive features: great play is made of the local granite which is used in a rough and robust manner. And the long sweeping roof is very characteristic. Overall a little gem.

This house was just what we had hoped for, for our family Christmas. Probably the best one we’ve stayed in, in our 17 Cornish Christmases! We loved the decor, and the clever mixture of old and new furnishings. Our Christmas tree fitted nicely on the corner table, and it was great having a cupboard full of board games. Is there any chance you might get hold of a vhs in the future? The kids were dying to watch some of those videos. One of the best things was the huge basket of DRY firewood. We’ve spent many dismal hours trying to light wet logs on cottage fires and being held to ransom only being allowed to buy logs from the owner at great expense etc. So this felt thoughtful as well as plentiful. We have recently gained an Australian son-in-law and my daughter was keen for him to experience an English Christmas, so it was so nice that Rosteague ticked all the boxes for him, even if the weather didn’t ! We were delighted also to have some bats to welcome us on the first night, and to see the seals along from Towan. I’d definitely recommend the place to anyone, and would love to come back with the family in the summer months and make use of the big field for games etc. Thanks also for the welcome drink waiting in the fridge, it went down nicely on Christmas morning. All in all absolutely perfect.

Firstly want to say we had a great time, location for us was fantastic.
Loved the property it should be marketed as shabby chic, which is to my taste, but some might find seating areas warn. Their needs to be better instruction for the use of the oven, I had to call the owner in for advice. Was disappointed that the area around the house is not enclosed as stated the field to the side was great but open and therefore not great for small dogs disappearing, a gate to the side would solve this. Was not impressed with the outdoor furniture the weather was beautiful and nowhere to sit outside comfortably.
We have rented many cottages over the years and this was the first one where there was no welcome pack (other than for the dogs) of essentials such as milk, bread, eggs etc (in some cases cakes and biscuits) fortunately we had taken some with us but was disappointed all the same.

We're so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Rosteague. The interior has been furnished using original and antique furniture which comes with great character but also in some cases great age. As you say, this won't suit every guest, but it's great to hear you appreciated the charm and overall feel. The lovely garden, whilst secluded and not overlooked, is not marketed as enclosed due to the open access. We'll certainly pass your suggestion of a gate to the owner, but in the meantime if you're looking for a fully enclosed garden, do use our online search tool to filter down your results, or give our Sales Team a call on 01326 555555 as they will be very happy to help. We had two weeks vacation with our four children and dog in the lodge. It was quiet and gorgeous. With the furniture you can feel like in the Rosemunde Pilcher film. The hikes on the Coast Path in the Roseland are fantastic. The Towan Beach is dog friendly and child-friendly. There is enough space, even in the high season. The owner is friendly and helpful. The house is superbly equipped.
Mr Macfarlane June 2017

This cottage is in an amazing location and it was fabulous to be able to get to the beach so easily. The grounds and private nature of the property made for a really relaxing holiday.

really lovely cottage in an idyllic location..
Mr Wilkins April 2016
Wonderful house in a quiet detached location, horses frolicking in the adjacent field and hardly a passer by to spoil the peace - we often sat in silence as these days it's rare to be able to do so!
