Beautiful place to stay with our family. The 2 bottles of wine and fresh flowers were very welcoming.

June 2018

An absolutely beautiful house with stunning paintings and sculptures the likes of which you might expect to find in a stately home. The garden was also beautiful with some very nice plants.

This cottage is not suitable for guests with dogs and such who wants to go walking

Reply from Classic Cottages

We're sorry that you felt the cottage wasn't suitable for guests with dogs - we were a little surprised as many previous guests have enjoyed holidays with their dogs here. The property is very rural, surrounded by countryside and a good selection of footpaths (dogs should be kept under close control around livestock). There are also lots of lovely walks a little further afield to explore, for example the Parrett River Trail around two miles from the cottage. Bryony, Customer Support

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Catsley House. It is beautifully furnished, very well equipped and the garden is delightful. There are views of lovely open countryside from virtually every window and the The Fox Inn just along the lane is welcoming. Nearby Beaminster is a charming little town and we enjoyed walks along the beach at Burton Bradstock and Lyme Regis. Our 10 month old labrador was in heaven lying by the Aga after her walks! Altogether can't recommend it highly enough.
