Poachers Cottage is set in a little cobbled square shared by some other original fishermen's cottages.
Appledore is a traditional old fishing village with a wonderful network of little lanes and passageways to explore.
The living-room is very cosy and has a happy seaside theme.
The kitchen/dining room is a lovely cheerful room
Across the estuary, reached by a lovely seasonal passenger ferry, is Instow - where there are wide sandy beaches.
The living-room is a good size, plenty of space for you all to relax in comfort. There is now an electric wood-burner effect stove for those out of season evenings.
The double bedroom has a view over the shared cobbled courtyard.
Another view of the living-room.
The double bedroom is very comfortable and inviting.
This is the twin bedroom.
The twin bedroom looks out over the top end of the courtyard.
There are lots of welcoming details in this friendly cottage.
There is a bathroom with a spa-bath as well as a separate shower-room.
There is a large walk-in shower in the shower-room.

You will love this little period cottage in its shared cobbled courtyard setting, amongst the other old fishermen's cottages.
North Devon's beaches are as good as any in Cornwall for surfing! Endless stretches of golden sand and rolling waves.
This is a great destination for keen sailors - but it is just as fascinating to sit on the Quay and watch.
John's Deli has a shop in both Appledore and Instow. The Appledore shop also has a lovely cafe. New this year - picnic hampers to order for your day on the beach.

Great location right by the sea! Perfect for a quick weekend away letting the kids run free on the beach and hours of crabbing!

This is a beautiful, snug and well-maintained holiday cottage. Peaceful, very close to the village and lovely walks. I would recommend it to anyone. Appledore is a wonderful village with a real community feel. I would definitely recommend the Market Street Kitchen for ambience, coffee, breakfast, lunch - staff are friendly and helpful, food is of excellent quality and good value for money and they also welcome dogs!

The cottage is very cosy and comfortable, warm, close to shops and pubs. We came for a quiet break and we certainly got this. It was our first time in a cottage and Appledore. I would recommend the cottage - we will certainly return.

Wow this really was a hidden gem, from the moment we arrived we fell in love with the cottage and surrounding Appledore. It was great to find a place so friendly and so far unspoilt. Great food and great company. Can't wait to go again, it will be nice to see The Royal George pub up and running.

John's deli is excellent in Appledore. The cottage is part of one of original courtyards and has a real fisherman's cottage feel to it.

Compact ex fisherman's cottage tastefully modernised with all mod cons. Super comfy beds! Ideal base for walking or exploring North Devon.

A lovely cottage with beautiful furnishings. Comfy beds and plenty of hot water for showers, very welcome after a long day's walking! This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in and extremely well situated for the South West Coast Path. We would definitely recommend it.
