Lovely barn conversion in a great location. Plenty of walks and mountain bike trips from the doorstep. Good amenities in Dulverton a five minute drive away or a pleasant hours walk along the river. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Wonderful quiet location. Cottage extremely comfortable, warm and everything you could want was provided. Enclosed garden for those with dogs. A 6 minute drive into Dulverton for shops and eateries. Fabulous walks on Exmoor with our Labrador. We very much hope to return. Very friendly owners on site.

Wonderful holiday very relaxing in a beautiful cottage

Our break at The Watermill offered a haven of tranquility and relaxation after a busy year. The cottage is immaculately presented and incredibly clean, with the owner having given all due consideration to Covid precautions. The valley setting is breathtaking - we enjoyed some fantastic early morning walks from the doorstep, watching the mists rise over the nearby lakes and crunching through the autumn leaves. The Anchor Inn at Exebridge is a very short drive (2 or 3 minutes) and is a beautiful spot for a glass of wine by the river. We can't wait to return to explore more of what Exmoor has to offer.

This cottage is well appointed for exploring the surrounding area. There were lots of lovely eateries and coffee shops in nearby Bampton (a few miles down the road). The owner provided a great list of walks in the cottage. We stayed during cold weather but the cottage was toasty and warm-the perfect retreat following a wintry and hilly walk. The upstairs bedroom has lovely soft carpet and feels like a treat to be in. The space in the house flows well for a family.

This was a well kept cottage in a lovely area just outside Exmoor. Lots of places to visit locally. Owners very welcoming and friendly. Cottage stocked with everything you could need for your stay.

We were delighted with our stay at the Watermill. This is a very comfortable holiday cottage and we were very happy just to relax and sit in the well appointed and attractive courtyard. The location is ideal. It is just a short drive to Dulverton which is a delightful place with all the amenities that you would want for a holiday stay. We were out every day rain or shine, and each day was full of interest. Susie gave us a warm welcome, and we hope that we will be able to return at a future date.

We felt like home and received perfect recommendations for day trips and restaurants! Thank you! :D

The whole experience was lovely.

From the "Welcome" pack, to the kitchen equipment, the furnishings, the bedding...............just a perfect spot from which to explore Exmoor & beyond.

We are frequent visitors from Australia & have travelled extensively in the UK & stayed in many cottages - Watermill would certainly be equal top of our list.

Our host, Susie, was very welcoming & a fountain of helpful information. The picture book of Exmoor was a very welcome addition - we used it as a challenge to visit as many places featured as possible.

Wonderful cottage in a peaceful location. Very imaginative conversion, extremely comfortable and beautifully presented property. Great location for exploring Exmoor. Plenty of lovely walks and some great pubs. Roz & John

Please see above.

A lovely, tranquil cottage with excellent furnishings. Hearing the birds and sheep and lambs was a joy.

Very comfortable, cosy yet spacious, barn conversion. Would highly recommend.

The Watermill is a wonderful place to stay as all of the rooms are large, very comfortable and very well equipped. It feels so very much like home away from home.

The views from the fields as we walked our dog were amazing, just keep an eye out for errant sheep who wandered in from the road.

The location of the Watermill is great as it gives you easy access to so many attractions. One favourite is probably the circular walk from Selworthy to Bury Castle followed by a cream tea at the Periwinkle Cottage Tea Rooms. Another is the walk around the River Barle starting from the Tarr Steps with a meal at the Tarr Farm Inn. Woods in Dulverton is also serves great food.

Very comfortable relaxing property in excellent location, with very helpful and friendly but not intrusive owners on site, in case anything was needed (it wasn't). Two very good pubs within easy reach, The Bridge at Dulverton and The Swan at Bampton, both of which provided excellent food and hospitality.

Lovely well equipped cottage in beautiful surroundings. Friendly and helpful hosts. Cake and milk on arrival were much appreciated. Would happily recommend.

Very well equipped with tasteful decor. Lovely location near to seaside towns. Planning to return.

This is a comfortable cosy cottage with lots of space. The beds and sofas are super comfy!

Stylish barn conversion with very comfy beds in a lovely location. Hosts were helpful and on hand if needed but not intrusive. Loved the place and would definitely recommend.

The Watermill is a wonderful place to stay.It is within the grounds of the owners home.Great location for walking from the doorstep, lovely walk over to Dulverton ,about an hour and a half, where there are many cafes, pubs and small shops and its very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the beautiful Autumn scenery , simply stunning area.Don't miss the lovely Tarr steps walk!! Porlock was also a great area to walk in. The accommodation is spacious, very comfortable and has a fabulous new high quality kitchen which was a delight to cook and eat in.Very well equipped with everything you need. The beds are very comfortable and we slept well in the peace and quiet. Thank you to the owners for providing such a lovely home from home. We loved every minute.

Great place! Would have brought it if for sale!!!

The Watermill is in a beautiful location, and is a great base for exploring Exmoor and the North Devon coast. It is a lovely cottage, which has been sympathetically renovated to a very high standard, and would be ideal for a family or small group holiday. The owners were very welcoming, but not intrusive - and the fresh chocolate cake on arrival was a very nice touch.

The Watermill is light, spacious and furnished to a high standard in a beautiful location but not far from good places to eat and small shops. A place that holiday dreams are made of. We had a wonderful holiday there and would have no hesitation in staying there again.

A perfect home, I'd smuggle home! Exceptionally clean and well thought out. Brilliant area and handy for Dulverton and the local area. So peaceful and relaxing, really didn't want to leave...

The property is beautiful and everything needed for a week's holiday is provided. The views from the bedrooms are so lovely and everywhere is so quiet - we would certainly recommend The Watermill to anyone wanting a nice place for a relaxing time.

A very comfortable and well equipped place with lots of little extras you don't always get a some places we have stayed at. Although we did not use the wood burner this time, it is nice to have a free source of wood to use. The lovely cake and milk in the fridge was a nice surprise.

Thoroughly enjoyable week in this excellent property in quiet location but good to use as a base for discovery. Highly recommend local restaurant 'Woods' in Dulverton and local Pubs. Local National Trust properties were worth a visit. Excellent experience all round. Loved it.

Perfect for a quiet break away from the city.

A gem of a cottage with good facilities for 4 people, in a beautiful location.

A spacious and beautifully converted, well equipped property.

Beautiful cottage, perfect location!

we found the watermill perfect in every way from val and dave plus max the dalmation

A wonderfully cosy, comfortable cottage to come back to each day. It is located in fantastic countryside with very easy access to Exmoor, the coast with some excellent restaurants nearby. We tried Woods in Dulverton and Tarr Farm Inn at the Tarr Steps but there are several others nearby that we will be trying next time we go.

lovely location for visiting the area, Dunster is lovely and the Anchor pub which is a 15 minute walk has a lovely beer garden by the river. A wonderful property.

The cottage is very well appointed and ideal for exploring the area.

One of the best cottages we have been to. Very warm and comfortable.. The kitchen in particular is very well equipped with everything you would need to cook a meal if you so wish. The Anchor pub in the village is very friendly and some nice beers.

A combination of great design, practicality and comfort that is unusual to achieve. A warm welcome and beautiful area - quite a find.

Surpassed all expectations re comfort, cleanliness and ambience.

A warm and comfortable cottage, with easy access to some great walks.

Watermill is a very beautiful and excellent furnished apartment in tranquil location on the edge of Exmoor . We can highly recommend this apartment.

This was possibly the cleanest holiday accommodation we have stayed in. There was so much attention to detail and also many nice touches, such as the flowers and provisions provided on our arrival. Our party consisted of 2 couples and each bathroom having both bath and shower was appreciated. All in all a very choice and we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

If you are looking to stay at a great clean place then look no more, watermill barn is just the place, stayed there 23 3 2015 great place good location.

Definitely worth a visit everything so clean and comfortable.

A very comfortable and cosy cottage.

Fabulous cottage in a wonderful location. Easy to explore Exmoor, Somerset, and Devon. Lots of beautiful areas of outstanding natural beauty, both inland and on the coast. Some lovely local food from nearby markets and farmers around the villages. Many national trust properties close by too. Will be back as soon as we are able!

A lovely and characterful property, well located for exploring Exmoor National Park. Well-equipped, warm and comfortable, with plenty of natural light provided by large picture windows in the living area. The very friendly and helpful (yet unobtrusive) owners are on hand to provide advice or assistance where required. Recommended.

I would happily recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a peaceful rural holiday in a comfortable situation.

Warm, well equipped and comfortable. Excellent value.

The Watermill is a lovely place to stay, nice location. It is a very comfortable and it was very cosy with the log burner, the furnishings are of a high standard and the bed linen and towels were lovely and soft. On our arrival there was a lovely fresh loaf, milk in the fridge, tea bags, flowers which we thought was a lovely touch from the owners. It is very dog friendly We will certainly return

A thoroughly enjoyable week in a cottage that felt like we were borrowing a friends home. It was peaceful, lovely and warm, comfortable and well equipped. We visited in October, so we were out walking each day and then home for a long hot bath, followed by evenings in front of the wood fire; holidays just don't get better than this!

This is a lovely cottage with everything you can hope for in a cottage. The main bedroom is huge and very comfortable. Lovely fluffy towels and comfortable furniture. The owner is lovely and very helpful, we have already recommended this place to friends and family.

Ideally located by Exmoor perfect for dog walking. Accommodation was a home from home everything was catered for even a fresh cake on arrival and milk in fridge. Could not fault it.

Wonderful! The Owners are very friendly, the cottage is really lovely and comfortable. The beds are dangerous, in a GOOD way, if you lay in there, you dont want to go up anymore :-)
