Lovely walks direct from cottage. St Nectans Glen and Rocky Valley are beautiful. Very quiet in the winter.

Perfect retreat to unwind during the thunder, lightning and torrential downpours! Ideal base with so many places of interest within easy driving distance in North and mid Cornwall. Great walking places nearby from Driftwood (remember your waterproofs!!) - Willow (collie) and myself thoroughly enjoyed. Would love to come back.....weather hasn't stopped me!!

We had the best week away here and could not recommend Driftwood enough!

The location is wonderful with some great coastal walks from the cottage. We were a short drive away from Rock (30 mins) where you can catch the ferry to Padstow, about 20 mins from Bude and less than an hour to Newquay.

The accommodation was perfect and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, the whole place was very clean and it had plenty of room for us and the dog.

Ray, the owner, who lives next door, was one of the highlights of our holiday. He was absolutely charming and his knowledge and advice was so appreciated as we didn’t know the area at all. He really made us feel welcome and his directions were faultless!

We’d return in a heartbeat.

Ian, Emily & the hunting dog.

We never really mastered the TV controls but otherwise an excellent accomodation. There is a wonderfull walk behind the property to St Nectan Falls. An absolute gem of a location with a great cafe. Highly recommended.

If your looking for a cosy base then this is ideal , it has all you need for your break . Its not a massive but big enough for two, especially if your out all day . Ray the owner was absolutely lovely . He has so much knowledge of the local area and made us feel so welcome.

Cosy little retreat for 2 people. Well equipped and comfortable. Homely beach chalet feel with lots of personal touches. Well thought out. Good location. Very friendly and informative host with extensive local know.edge. Definitely worth a visit.

The Driftwood was an amazing little property. Perfect for a couple or someone wanting to stay in Cornwall on their own. The owners were very very friendly and so welcoming. We loved staying there. It was perfect for us and very well located. I think we will definitely consider staying there again.

Far from the madding crowd...…………..

We had a lovely stay at this charming rental. It was well prepared, clean, prettily decorated and well thought out so that the compact size did not feel cramped in any way - and we understood perfectly well from the description what we were renting. Nice view, comfortable beds, excellent bathroom, heating just right, etc.

Thank you to our hosts Pat and Ray who could not have been more friendly and welcoming, giving great advice about where to go locally that we would probably not have figured out on our own. We may well return.

Brilliant location for nearby places to visit. Very comfortable accommodation with fantastic sea view over Tintagel. Ray is a fantastic guy. He is the tourist information bureau, and nothing is too much trouble. Just take a fold able clothes rail if like us you take a lot of outfits.

Perfect location

Lovely cottage. Very clean. Lovely decor with attention to detail. Would recommend.

Peaceful, relaxing accommodation in a prime location for some of Cornwalls best scenery. So good we have been to Driftwood several times in the past 3 years.

“Driftwood” is the most beautiful little house in a gorgeous area of Cornwall , what made it extra special was Ray and Pat’s hospitality they went out of their way to welcome us , recommend places to eat and even looked after our dog Tilly while we went out for an extra special meal. The views are outstanding and also beautiful sunsets I would highly recommmend Driftwood to stay and was the perfect size for Nige and I and Tilly our pooch thank you Ray and Pat you are lovely people we will be back !

This a very nice property. We were made very welcome on our arrival, the property was clean, well-equipped and very snug. The bathroom, with modern shower, bidet and plentiful hot water was better than we had dared hope in such a compact chalet-style holiday let. The wifi reception is strong. Many, many small but thoughtful touches - such as fresh milk in the 'fridge, a cream tea for two awaiting us - added to our enjoyment. Hints and tips on local amenities proved most helpful.

I would recommend 'Driftwood' to anyone seeking a quiet, enjoyable holiday in this most pleasant part of Cornwall.

Perfect place to stay for two. Good safe, parking area. Driftwood was cosy, clean and had all you needed for your stay. Highly recommend for the views and sunset too.

Ray and Pat, made us very welcome and were very knowledgeable about their area, perfect break away with your best friend ??

The 'Cottage' is just a glorified shed! It's more like 'Glamping'

We sorry that Driftwood wasn't quite your 'cup of tea'. It is a wooden building, although one that is beautifully furnished to emphasise the seaside location and still offer a comfortable and well-equipped base. We do appreciate that not all of ouf guests will be looking for this quirky element, so we do show the property very clearly in our photos to make sure that everyone has a good idea of what to expect. We are disappointed that it wasn't for you, but we'd be very happy to help you find a slightly more conventional property for your next stay. Tanya, Customer Support

We passed a wonderful time at Driftwood. The location is perfect to explore Cornwall. The owners, Pat and Ray, were so helpful and friendly. They provided us with helpful information about the area and were always up for a little chat. We felt very welcome and would definitely recommend the chalet. It is well equipped and very comfortable. In a minimum of time one feels like home. Thanks for everything.

Happy 2 weeks at Driftwood cottage comfortable & safe! .Thankyou to Pat & Ray for making us feel welcome.x

A great retreat to stay and feel totally relaxed with all the creature comforts to be found in holiday accommodation.

Perfect for people looking for typical Cornwall getaway. Driftwood so well equipped and peaceful.

Location was great and the cottage was better than we expected would recommend this cottage without hesitation.

well just a great place to stop in ten out of ten well done.

Great location near Tintagel and Boscastle. A very warm welcome from Pat and Ray, and their knowledge of the area was excellent. Great views from the chalet. We loved the scones jam and cream!

Top quality holiday Home, lovely friendly owners Ray and Pat

We have been twice this year and booked for next year. Hospitality excellent, located in a good place to visit lots of places very close to Boscastle & Tintagel. The theme of Driftwood is very Cornwall & beach inspired. Can't recommend this enough but better be careful it will be booked up when we want it.

Small is beautiful, all very warm and clean, decorations were great. A most comfortable stay. The owners were most helpful and a pleasure to meet.

The Chalet was comfortable, cosy and adequately equipped. Made to feel very welcome by the Owners Pat and Ray, and would certainly recommend this Chalet.

Pat and Ray were very helpful and welcoming hosts, greeting us with a cream tea upon our arrival. They were always happy to share their knowledge of the area, providing helpful hints about local beauty spots.

Amazing hosts, place, location, more like a home from home with bags of style, a must stay for anyone to consider.

Perfect for exploring north coast

Warm friendly atmosphere- excellent.

Exceeded our expectation, it was like a quirky beach hut, well equipped, comfortable. Pat and Ray were excellent hosts. When we arrived there were scones, cream and jam waiting for us. Pat and Ray told us of lost of places of interest to visit. Comfortable beds, nice fluffy towels, superb shower. Lovely part of Cornwall. Izzy the dog soon made herself at home. Couldn't fault it, totally relaxing holiday. Our 'cup of tea'. Loved it

Driftwood exceeded our expectations the attention to detail was excellent. We were welcomed by Pat and Ray who showed us around and Ray was very informative on walks and places of interest even offering to pick us up if we got stuck out in the rain! There was a cream tea waiting for us which was delicious and Toby our dog was given a bowl of dog treats so he wasn't left out which we though was a really lovely thing to do. The Cottage has everything you need it is very warm and cosy with very comfortable beds - we loved our stay here it was really relaxing with lovely views would highly recommend to anyone.

Lovely area, close to boscastle and tintagel, widemouth bay worth a visit and dog friendly too as were most of the places we visited

We absolutely loved our stay at Driftwood. Ray & Pat were the most wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. They had lots of knowledge about the local area, places to visit and good places to eat.

A perfect peaceful cottage. Small but beautifully formed. Will go again.

If you want something that is sweet and quirky Driftwood is the place for you.

Excellent holiday. Cosy cottage that is ideal for two people. Very clean and well laid out. The owners, Ray and Pat, live next door and their knowledge and advice were invaluable. They are also a great, friendly couple. Sometimes it's the small touches that make it an extra special holiday such complimentary home made scones and cream tea on our arrival and the home made soft furnishings that brighten up the place. I thoroughly recommend Driftwood.

A fabulous retreat and a little gem perched in an ideal location to explore the beauty of Cornwall. Despite its small size, driftwood is luxurious and cosy, with fantastic views to the sea and evening sunsets. Pat and Ray were attentive hosts and ensured that we had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. We will return!

The owners (Ray & Pat) made us very welcome and provided cream scones on arrival. They were very helpful and accommodating, a really lovely couple who helped make our stay more comfortable, thank you. A beautiful location we definitely recommend.

Emphasize the size of the chalet. Compact would be a fair description.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review after your stay at Driftwood. We do say that the property is 'small but perfectly formed' and that it is an 'ideal retreat for two' - you certainly wouldn't have enough room to throw a large dinner party (although we do have lots of bigger properties if that's what you're looking for!), but we hope that you enjoyed your time in north Cornwall nevertheless and would come back again. Ideal crash pad for tranquility

Driftwood was just like it was advertised as. We were not disappointed. It was well thought out and so cosy and warm. Very comfy. Will definitely be back. Pat and Ray are lovely people. :-)

Warm and Cosy

very friendly owners made stay excellent.enjoyed ourselves

At first sight very small, but had everything we needed in well designed storage spaces. Warm welcome from both hosts; scones and jam (home-made), delicious and clotted cream. Easy access to coast and Tintagel and Boscastle.

A wonderful cosy retreat which was well beyond our expectations . Exceptional Attention to detail. All in all " a little gem".

A fantastic little retreat, cosy, warm and extremely comfortable. The furnishings and decor are lovely, all very tasteful!! The views and sunsets were amazing, this was a place we always looked forward to coming back to in the evening.

The owners Pat and Ray were wonderful hosts, although their own property is immediately next door we still felt that we had all the privacy we needed, but they were there if you needed them. All pretty perfect really, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

The owner was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Homemade scones awaiting us were very nice too! Driftwood itself was a cosy retreat, small but with all the comforts and mod cons. Located so that you can easily get to other places along the Cornish coast and provided a good base for a rewarding holiday.

The photos on the web site looked excellent

We try very hard to give guests as much information as we can about our properties, and we find that the photos play an important part of this. We're glad that these matched up to the reality and thanks for taking the time to let us know. Tanya, Customer Support
