Mrs. Henneberg October 2025

We had a wonderful week in Marazion. The Cottage had everything we needed. It was extremely cosy, lovingly and tastefully furnished, and we slept very well in the beds. It was wonderful to take a walk on the beach in the morning and watch the tides. Thank you again for the delicious scones and the fresh, pretty flowers! It is important to note that this is a very old house and some of the ceilings and doors are very low. However, this is by no means a negative point, but simply a reminder for tall people to be aware of this....

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful cottage. Located in a fantastic position, a mere stumble from the causeway to the Mount but also with easy access to lots of other places, many on foot. It was so special to be able to enjoy this spot in its quieter moments too. The cottage is wonderfully cosy and has been so sensitively renovated with everything you could possibly need, as well as a welcome gift of the most delicious scones - the best of the holiday! Would not hesitate to recommend....

Lovely Period Cottage in the Heart of Marazion We had a lovely stay in this charming period cottage. It’s beautifully decorated, well-equipped, and the little back garden was a great bonus. The location is perfect – within easy walking distance of local spots and just a short drive to many others. That said, there are a couple of things to be aware of. Firstly, the parking situation. While it’s noted that there’s no designated parking, it’s worth pointing out that there isn’t always space available outside to unload either. When we arrived, all nearby spaces were taken by residents or people visiting the pub opposite, which made unloading after a long journey quite difficult. I ended up paying £60 for a week in the long-stay car park, which isn’t particularly close – it would be helpful if this was reflected in the rental price or made clearer in the listing. We also felt that a little more attention to cleaning would go a long way – we noticed quite a bit of dust under the beds and quite a few cobwebs. Some extra essentials like toilet roll and dishwasher tablets would have been appreciated, too. The welcome scones and jam were a lovely touch, but after a long trip, a small box of tea would have made a big difference – especially as the shop next door was closed when we arrived. Lastly, we found the main bedroom a bit dark and not as fresh and airy as the other two. The heavy tapestry and curtains made it feel a little spooky and less inviting. Some lighter, fresher decor would really help make that room more comfortable. In the end, we chose to sleep in one of the other rooms instead. Overall, it’s a lovely cottage with lots of charm and potential – a few small improvements would make it even more enjoyable. ...

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re delighted that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the cottage’s charming period features. The property offers a fabulous and convenient location in the heart of Marazion, and although parking can be limited during busy periods, we’re glad you were able to secure a nearby spot as suggested in the description. We’re sorry that some aspects of the cleanliness were not quite up to standard. Had we known at the time, we would have been more than happy to assist. We’re thrilled that you found the cottage well-equipped, enjoyed your stay overall, and appreciated the brilliant location. We very much hope to welcome you back in the future. The Cottage exceeded expectations. We thought it would be very nice, but our jaws dropped on arrival. We felt that the owner trusted her guests enough to fill the cottage with beautiful things, we enjoyed making sure they were looked after. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, and as we have a keen interest in history and art we enjoyed the information supplied in the folder, taking a tour of the many pictures of the Mount. We will remember our stay forever. We adored the town, and especially the Cottage....
