Miss Bustin August 2018
Absolutely lovely cottage in a perfect location, situated very near to St Just, Portheras Cove (great for scrambling and seal watching), Porthcurno (for the Minack Theatre) and Sennen Cove. If you're a member of the National Trust, there are multiple properties nearby, including the Botallack mines, Trengwainton Garden and St Michael's Mount. About an hour away are two lovely NT beaches we would recommend - Holywell and Crantock - with free NT parking on site. We arrived very late due to unexpected traffic and were glad to find out there is a nice dog-friendly pub called the Queens Arms a short walk away, serving food till fairly late (we arrived there around 8:30pm) and with vegetarian and gluten-free options.
The friendly welcome after our long drive and tray with Cornish biscuits and drinks were much appreciated. It's always nice when a host has put thought into caring for guests and we thought this was a lovely gesture.
The property was clean and a great size. The kitchen was well stocked with cleaning equipment, kitchen towel, cling film, foil, bin bags etc. (i.e. all the things you may need but forget to bring!). There was also a washing machine which we might have used, had the weather been a little less unpredictable! The living area was beautifully decorated and stocked with a wide variety of books and movies for entertainment on rainy/chilly nights in front of the wood burner - which was delightfully cosy. The information pack and leaflets for local amenities were all up-to-date (in previous cottages, we've seen leaflets for attractions that are either well out-of-date or no longer even exist!). The wifi worked perfectly, which is another big plus for anyone looking to stay in contact with the outside world/work!! The bedroom and bathroom upstairs were also lovely - the only thing is that there is not much space to hang clothes rather mostly drawer space, which is unlikely to be an issue for the majority of people but perhaps worth mentioning regardless. Garden was fully enclosed - perfect for those with dogs!
Overall, an absolutely superb week spent in a beautiful cottage.

Had a fabulous holiday at poets corner. Lovely walks over the cliffs only ten minutes walk away the sunsets were amazing and the Queens Arms pub at Botallack would recommend. Also Jeremy's fish and chips at St Just - very good.

After a long and hot days drive we were met by our hosts on arrival. They immediately made us feel extremely welcome, including our dog, and after a brief chat we were left to explore the cottage. The first thing we saw was a tray full of Cornish goodies - what a lovely surprise. The cottage itself was very well decorated, furnished and meticulously clean. The kitchen was well equipped and they even provided all cooking, washing and cleaning products -there is no need to bring anything with you. Upstairs the bed was comfortable and the shower hot with plenty of water. There was also outdoor furniture to enjoy the long summer evenings. In short a beautifully presented cottage with everything needed for a very comfortable stay - we couldn't have asked for more. Not so much Poets Corner as Perfect Corner!
Mrs McIntosh June 2017

Great location to explore National Trust properties at Trengwaiton and Godolphin. Hosts friendly and helpful but not intrusive.

Mrs Purnell June 2016
So impressed with Poet's Corner, we loved it! The cottage has lovely decor and furnishings, the bed and sofa are both very comfortable. A powerful shower and big enclosed garden with lovely views. Good location, a pub within easy walking distance and the square with shops, cafe and pubs a little bit further, all dog friendly, (about 20 mins, no paths and a hill to climb, so maybe a taxi home if dark)? Only had one complaint..we had to come home!
Mrs Rushworth June 2016
Great base for a holiday in the far south-west. It's about 5 miles from Land's End and an easy stroll to the Queen's Head at Botallack for pub meals, 20 minutes walk to St Just for pubs, shops, Post Office. Lots of National Trust things to do in the area, including seeing the Levant tin mine beam engine working and great gardens at Trengwainton and St Michael's Mount. Lovely beach at Porthcurno. Great coastal walking from the cottage, including Cape Cornwall, and inland walks can take in the prehistoric standing stones and quoits. The highlight of our week was seeing a pod of dolphins leaping in a cove near St Ives.

Stayed here for a long weekend in January. It was cold and windy outside but warm and snug inside the house. The log stove was wonderful and it felt like a home away from home.
Everything we could have asked for for a perfect weekend.
