We had a fantastic stay at Beechwood. The cottage was beautifully decorated and the communication between the garden and the cottage gave a fantastic sense of calm. Comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. It was very peaceful with only the sound of the birds and the river.

We would love to return when the kids are a bit older to make full use of the Camel Trail which you can access just from the garden.

May 2019

Quick access to the A30 means that popular place such as Lanhydrock, Heligan and the Eden Project are within short driving times. We visited the aquarium in Plymouth which was also within an acceptable distance.

If you would like a get away to start exploring Cornwall then Beechwood is the place. It’s right on he edge of a river walk and it’s their perfect distance from everything you could need. Very welcoming couple to greet you. Would book again.

July 2016

Beautiful setting, beautiful cottage and really great welcoming owners. The furnishings and decor were beautiful and the cottage had everything you could possibly need- home from home.

May 2016

This was pretty much perfect, we adored it! The cottage was divine, the location blissful and convenient for visiting north and south coasts. Our kids (age 5 and 7) were so amazed by the beauty of it the first thing they did was draw pictures of the garden, they adored every minute of our time there. Next time we'll book two weeks and bring our bikes, one week was not enough!

May 2016

This was the second time we came here. It's a very comfortabel and beautiful situated place to be. I think we will come back again. We would like to thank our hosts.

July 2015

Beechwood is a beautiful property and made for a very relaxing holiday. David & Jenny are great hosts and we appreciated their very personal, but discreet manner. Our children (6 & 7) loved exploring the garden, and access to the Camel trail was super for walks and cycling. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Snails Pace Cafe, which is just 1.5 miles along the trail.

Beechwood is a truly fantastic place to stay for families. With its beautiful garden that provides a real adventure playground for older children and the location of the cottage right on the Camel Trail and still just a drive away from the beautiful coast line and from the countryside of Bodmin Moor, we felt that this was a real gem and would definitely stay again.

April 2014

The outside space was as lovely as the inside and great for exploring for older children. The owners were very welcoming and gave us some great information about the local area. It's a shame that visitors seem to be put off by the recent flooding which was nowhere to be seen. The weather was amazing, as was the property. Would thoroughly recommend it.

July 2013

The owners are very nice and helpful wide. They welcomed us warmly and gave us many tips for trips. The apartment is very well equipped. The location makes a car essential but it allows within 30 minutes of the north and south coasts of Cornwall achieve; Lands End and Lizard Point is reached in about 1:30 hours. A stay at Beechwood we can recommend.

I would definitely recommend Beechwood to those looking for a quiet and scenic setting for a relaxing holiday. The location is good with the Camel Trail just nearby and the owners were incredibly hospitable, bending over backwards to ensure that our stay was comfortable.
