We came as a family with 2 kids aged 9 and had a lovely relaxing week in this superbly comfortable cottage on this nice little farm. We really appreciated the pool, which was a lovely temperature and had to ourselves, the kids' play room (which has lots to keep small and big kids entertained) and swing and slide in a field. Our kids fed the hens, sheep and horses and found it very interesting. The cottage is away from others and has a great view over the fields and pond and is very quiet and very modern inside. The jacuzzi bath was a first and really appreciated after a long day sightseeing. We had all the mod cons and it felt very homey. The underfloor heating made the cottage very warm, which we appreciated as the weather was quite cold. The owners are very nice and helpful. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back.

Truly a great property that exceeded our expectations. Great facilities and very friendly owners.
Ms Lowe December 2019
Really cosy little cottage, ideal for me and my sister's Christmas holiday, we would love to stay here again, highly recommended!
Mrs Arnott July 2019
Fabulous week away at The Stables, excellent service and fantastic welcome including the homemade cake left on arrival. Perfect location for beaches and Bude as well as great onsite facilities for the children, we especially liked feeling the animals. Couldn’t fault, will be returning again at some stage!
Mrs Harrison July 2019
The location (rural), outside spaces (lawns, orchard, playing field) were just great. And thank you for the wonderful weather too! The whole family in the two cottages enjoyed these facilities and particularly the pool. "It was the best part of the whole holiday" according to our grand-daughter aged six. The games room was appreciated by the older children. The manual was really helpful too, with local and further walks, beach details, access details for driving and where best to eat (too many places to tempt us!). The animals were fun for us all too. The owners have created just the right balance of facilities, space and leisure activities. Liked - All the sharp knives and knife sharpener in the kitchen! All the little things to help were appreciated: loo rolls, kitchen everyday cleaning equipment, tea towels, etc etc. We really didn't have to rely on things we had brought (always necessary in other s/c places!). The rooms were generally very spacious even when we had 7 of us. Cutlery, crockery, glasses were plentiful and in good condition. BBQ equipment was excellent too. Help was on hand with some laundry (bedding) on one unexpected occasion - much appreciated at the time.
Best of all was watching the hay-making and enjoying the peaceful and beautiful location.

This is our second visit to Woodlands and we will be back. We absolutely love it there. The facilities are excellent, the pool is great and it makes for a really relaxing break that the children thoroughly enjoyed!
Mrs McCormack February 2019
Loved the peace and quiet, the ducks and chickens. The hosts were friendly and it was lovely to be able to order freshly cooked food. The fresh eggs were wonderful. Lovely for couples off season. Really liked the fact that there were no dogs! If you are not a dog lover or have allergies to dogs, there are so few places to choose from these days. A very restful week. Will definitely return.
Mr Kubes November 2018

Miss Neale March 2018
A wonderful and luxurious cottage with fabulous and happy hosts always willing to help but equally never intrusive. The cottage is a delight and we keep re booking it as nothing quite meets their high standards.
Miss Neale November 2017
Lovely clean, comfortable and warm cottage with a lovely welcome. Swimming pool was lovely and warm and the peace and tranquility was just what was needed. We truly love it there and have booked next holiday already
Mrs Spinks September 2017
An excellent cottage - very clean and with excellent views across the valley. We loved all the little extra touches by the owners (homemade cake on arrival and free range eggs laid by the chickens on site). Perfect for couples, families and little ones.
Mr Williamson March 2017
Virtually every hassle that accompanies holiday planning was removed by the thoughtfulness and care of our hosts. The cottage was immaculate and stylish and the little extras made life with two challenging toddlers so much easier. A great base; a great place to stay. We would visit again.
Dr Cockcroft February 2017
Brilliant for adults and the kids - couldn't have been better! From the home made cake and eggs from their chickens in the cottage on arrival, to the friendly hosts and lovely Billy the pony, and the lovely warm pool - everything was a delight!
Mrs Milton December 2016
Perfect holiday cottage for a family, amazing views, luxury, well equipped, great location, lovely warm swimming pool on site, animals to feed! We will be back again! Thank you!
Mrs Davies October 2016
Amazing to stay in such a beautiful place. It really is 'home from home'. oh and not forgetting Rupert the sheep!
Mrs Szczebiot September 2016
This is a gem of a cottage with one of the most lovely views across the fields to the next village. It is more like a five star hotel suite, with glossy magazines afternoon tea set up for arrivals. One feature to especially highlight is the flexibility of the beds, so few offer two doubles, each with an en-suite. We loved it!
Mrs Price July 2016
All the little touches like eggs, lemon cake, BBQ, meat and animal feeding. Also all the essentials like soap and dishwasher tablets supplied which is rare and a lovely touch. Makes life so much easier.
Mrs Normington June 2016
We enjoyed this lovely well equipped and spotless cottage.
Mrs Downes October 2015

A very welcoming, well finished and well looked-after cottage. It was lovely to wake up to views across the valley every day.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
We went with our 2 year old and she absolutely loved feeding the animals' using the pool and the woodland walks. But it would be a great place to stay with or without kids.
Mr Spencer November 2014

The cottage was immaculate and furnishings high quality. The beds were really comfy. The owners were very helpful and available. The kids enjoyed the animal feeding and the pool. The views from the patio were lovely. And the prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend.
Mrs Holmes May 2013
A real wow factor when you walk in the stables. It's a beautiful property in immaculate grounds. Such lovely welcoming touches such as eggs from the farm and homemade lemon drizzle cake - gorgeous. The only noise you can hear is the sheep in the fields. A reflect retreat.
Miss Limer May 2013
Excellent accommodation situated in an idyllic location. Warm and friendly welcome from the owners - a real home away from home.
