Fabulous quiet and convenient location and the owner was very friendly and helpful
Mrs Long September 2020
Steep steps down to cottage.
Mr Markham September 2020
Excellant secluded location overlooking the valley & river, but just a ten minute walk into Boscastle. Perfect location, very helpful owners, and cottage was very comfortable
Miss Ross August 2020
Lovely secluded location and listen to the river while enjoying the garden.
Mrs Tracey July 2020
The furnishings and kitchen equipment at Lowarth really up top standard. The linen was crisp white and beautiful. As I enjoy cooking I was delighted to find everything I could wish for in the kitchen, again top quality utensils, crockery etc. Everything was beautifully presented, cleanliness 100% and bright and airy. Added to this, the photos really can't capture how beautiful the garden and little patio area are - just a perfect place to sit to eat or simply relax and admire. Honeysuckle perfumed our morning breakfast!
We would most definitely book again when next in the area.
I can't recommend highly enough!
Thank you also for the special kindness Sue and David showed myself and my husband when he unfortunately had a bad fall and needed medical attention. All well now, their help much appreciated.
Mrs Agnew October 2019
Great cottage with tasteful furnishings, in a great position in Boscastle. Lovely, friendly & informative owner.
Mr Nash August 2019
An excellent place to stay. Peaceful, relaxing, well-equipped and clean. Could not recommend it more highly.
Mr Turnbull July 2019
Lovely stay at this beautiful flat, great location, very close to shops, pubs, restaurants and local walks, although secluded enough and just far enough away to be very peaceful. We would definitly visit again.
Ms Kimber June 2019
The flat was wonderfully peaceful and relaxing with amazing views from the garden. It had some lovely decorative features in a great colour scheme which made it a perfect home from home. We would definately recommend this flat to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
Ms Marsh August 2018
A beautiful flat in a gorgeous and tranquil setting. The owner was friendly and helpful and we had a very relaxing holiday, despite a march up and down hill to the various restaurants and pubs. Helps work off the pasties and cream teas...
Mrs Carter July 2018
We couldn't fault our stay. The flat was exceptionally clean and well presented and had everything you could ever want for a week's break. The kitchen was particularly well equipped. The location of the property was ideally situated away from the Harbour area and shops, yet close enough to walk down to the village (short walk of c.5 minutes on the way down; maybe a bit longer on the way back up!!). This meant that we could enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful garden at Lowarth (some other properties in the village would have had people walking past them all the time; this was not the case at Lowarth, which was nicely tucked away). The patio area was a perfect place to relax over a glass of wine/cold beer after a day walking the coast path.
Mr Roberts June 2018
An excellent weeks holiday at a fabulous cottage and would certainly look forward to returning next year.
Mr Baker September 2017
One of the best places we've ever stayed, location, views, property, just everything is great
Mr Pullin August 2017
We enjoyed a lovely week in Lowarth. Sue the owner was very friendly and welcoming. We only used the car on two occasions as there are so many walks that can be done in and around Boscastle. The cottage is equipped to a very high standard and the hairdryer was a bonus. We caught the bus to Tintagel and walked the coast path home which was stunning but quite strenuous. St. Nectans Glen and rocky valley are well worth a visit. The farm shop is a must for eating and good quality produce. We would highly recommend this cottage to anybody.
Rev Minay May 2017
Staying in Lowarth for two weeks was ' a little touch of paradise'. It was comfortable, well - equipped, and tastefully decorated. Waking up in every morning to a glorious view over the Jordan Valley, filled with birdsong, was just magical. We had a wonderful holiday, re-visiting beautiful Boscastle, and would highly recommend it.
Mrs Wrigley October 2016
Firstly ,wben picking up the keys from Sue the owner we recieved a warm welcome and was shown round the cottage and told where everything was and how it worked..she then left us to it but gave us directions as to where we could find her if needed..The cottage is exceptionaly clean and furnished to a very high standered...Its also very well equipped ...Everything you may need is there inc hairdryer ,iron & ironing board should you need them...washing machine and dishwasher..The gardens are very well maintained as is the patio area...It offers total privacy &peacefulness...There is nothing not to like about Lowarth cottage..Great for couples..and a good base for exploring Cornwall...Bostcastle itself is a very pretty but small village with local spar shop ,post office gift shops etc..Pubs all serve great food..can highly reccomend The Cobweb Inn and The Napoloeon Inn for great food and ales..The farm shop is excellent to offering good quality local produce and also a restauraunt there and do pop in there. .you wont be dissapointed..Would deffinatly reccomend Lowarth and would go again..
Mrs Wrigley September 2016
The cottage is close by to the lovely village..Close to a local Spar Shop ,3 pubs close by all of which serve excellent meals with very varied menus at a reasonable cost..Also close by is the farm shop for fresh supplies ..There is also an award winning cafe there who recently won an award for best cafe & tea room in Cornwall. Central heating plus a log effect electric fire are welcoming if you decide to holiday here early or late season as we did..
Mr Crocker July 2016
Great for a couple.. very well appointed and tastefully decorated. Nice to be able to park the car off the road.
Great access to the delights of Boscastle and great cliff walks.
Good options for dining in Boscastle and Forraberry.
Miss Landes July 2016
It was a really cosy cottage with plenty of space for the two of us and all the amenities you could need. The terrace and garden felt very private, even though they are communal and we really enjoyed our stay here. We were only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Boscastle and the cottage is excellently located to explore the rest of Cornwall.
Mrs Humphries July 2016
Our visit was fantastic Boscastle is very lovely. Cottage came over and above our expectations. We would definitely re visit as long as our legs can do the hills.
Mrs Cooper July 2016
The most wonderful cottage hidden away with the most amazing views where you can appreciate the peace and quiet. Close to local shops and restaurants which all serve excellent food. Home from home with everything you need. Lovely local walks (weather permitting)
Mr Doherty August 2015
Difficult to add to the positive comments that have already been said about Lowarth, but I'll have a go. Overall, my wife and I were very pleased/impressed with the accommodation and Boscastle village. We managed to do a lot of walking and eating in the week we stayed and all I can say is the walks were breathtaking, the food in the restaurants/pubs was excellent (especially at The Napoleon Inn) and the locals we met were very sociable/friendly. So if you want a relaxing, comfortable break, with breathtaking scenery, which has a beautiful village, has easy access to the coastal/country walks and has an excellent selection of Pubs/Restaurants then give Lowarth a try. I don't think you will be disappointed - we weren't :)
Mr Turner August 2015
Beautiful location - and Sue Scott takes a real pride in her properties!
Mrs Waite July 2015
A charming property in a stunning location. Just perfect for two!
Mrs Halford March 2015
A beautifully cosy and well-appointed Property set amidst breathtaking scenery. Tranquility punctuated only by the sounds of birds and, of course, the 'babbling brook'(!) that can be clearly seen from all windows. The views actually benefit from the time of year before full leaf obscures some of the spectacular features on display in mid March. The Apartment itself is extremely comfortable, pristine, and stylish, and the Owners' meticulous attenion to detail, is apparent in every respect. We would happily return to 'Lowarth' and highly recommend this lovely Property to anyone. Our thanks to Sue & to you, too!
Mrs Smith October 2014
A lovely place to stay thankyou for the break we loved it in every way
Mrs Wood September 2014
Beautifully tranquil location up a slight hill in Boscastle. Easy walk to the Boscastle Harbour to watch the blow-hole. Handy for provisions from the General store/post office or the Spar shop. The property was very well equipped with everything you might need. It was comfy and welcoming. Sue, the owner, was friendly and helpful. The local area had lots of interesting places to explore and photograph. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, but it went far too quickly!
Mrs Smith July 2014
Paradise
Mrs Thelen-Weinhold July 2014
Thanks to the owners for this tastefully furnished and arranged cottage and for their friendliness. Recreation is perfect because it is extremely silent there.
Mr Bate September 2013
Excellent location and a very friendly and helpful owner
Very high standard of fixtures and fittings combined with a high standard of overall cleanliness make this an ideal location for a getaway break.
Mr Diestel June 2013
We wanted to visit Cornwall's northern coast and found a nice and cosy accomodation. Sue gave a warm welcome and offered support in any situation. The location is very quite and helps to relax from daily stress. Nice walks from here to Tintagel or around Boscastle. Exiting views from the south west coast path. Tasty food in Boscastle's restaurants.
