A very enjoyable week in a lovely cottage. Great for a relaxing holiday, close to pretty villages and local pubs.

A very comfortable cottage in a lovely setting, a great place to stay.

Very pretty, warm and cosy Cottage in a lovely setting. Be sure to visit the nearby Compton McCrae for great coffee and delicious treats!

If you're looking for a cosy country retreat with great walks, yet near enough to places of interest this is an ideal choice. Well equiped and very welcoming.

Diaryman cottage very nice place to stay the cottage is lovely and there are some lovely walks to go on without having to use your car the owners are very nice and friendly this is my second time to stay at the cottage I would come again Sue

A thoroughly lovely holiday and hosts. The children loved the roaming chickens and as 2 families, one in Hatts Barn, and us in Dairymans Cottage, it gave us a lovely holiday together but with our own space.

The owners were so lovely. Welcoming and available. We had complete freedom to wander to fields belonging to the farm, down to the lake and woodland or up through the sheep field. A particular treat was watching the sheep dog work. The local pub is worth a visit especially when they have the outdoor pizza oven going. Beautiful part of the world. X

A very simple process, plenty of emails with information and instructions. A beautifully kept and furnished cottage and a very enjoyable much needed holiday. Friendly hosts and idyllic setting. Really happy with the whole experience.

Dairyman cottage was a superb place to stay. Rural but within easy distance to a variety of attractions.

The hosts were very helpful and friendly which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Stunning views and home comforts .

Warm and cosy well equipped and perfectly placed to tour the area

We loved this cottage, beautifully appointed and in a great position. Walks as soon as you step out of the door and complete access to the farm . Climb the meadowy hill aross the road from the cottage and there is a glorious view of Semley the local village and surrounding countryside.

Another fantastic stay at Dairymans Cottage. Hope to return soon. 5 Star.

Dairymans cottage was warming and comfortable. There was everything you would need for a week away. Make sure you bring tea and coffee as nothing is provided. The surrounding grounds are lovely to explore and chickens and ducks are amazing for kids to collect eggs in the morning. The cottage has lovely comfortable beds and pillows. The kitchen fully equipped and the sofa and living area is great with open plan for holiday living. Very clean but could pick up on a few areas such as behind sofas and beds that could do with extra attention.

We're so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Dairyman's Cottage, and particularly liked meeting the feathered residents of the farm! Unfortunately we have had to make some adaptations to our usual warm welcome due to implementing safety precautions in light of Covid-19. One of these adaptations is to reduce the number of unnecessary items or those that can't be easily sanitised, and this has affected our usual welcome tray supplies. We do hope to be able to reinstate this as soon as possible, but in the meantime we hope you'll understand the need for such measures. Tanya, Customer Support

The cottage was wonderful. It’s in a great location for local attractions. Short walking distance to a general store. Perfect for families and family gatherings. Feeding the chickens was a big hit with our toddler!

A homely, comfortable cottage in a quiet rural location in a very pretty area, with a very pleasant owner.

We had very nice and relaxing days in nowhere :). Received with a tea set, very friendly. A disturbance of the W-Lan reception was fixed at very short notice. We would choose this accomodation again.

Thank you.

Outstanding from Start to end. Everything 5 Star. Could not ask for more.

It would be good to have had some quality things in the Cottage and more clear windows downstairs as 2 of them were frosted

Thanks for sharing your thoughts - the lower windows have had a different finish applied to allow in plenty of light but also to ensure privacy for guests and for the owners who live on site. There are standard clear pane windows everywhere else in the barn, but we think the owners have found a really good solution to keep the property light and bright, whilst helping guests feel very comfortable and private. Cosy cottage that will give you a great base from which to explore the local countryside

Great country location near Shaftesbury and good area to explore with National Trust properties Monacute, Kingston Lacy and Stourhead nearby. Lovely comfortable character cottage to return to at end of day with well equipped kitchen. With attention to detail welcoming fresh flowers and delicious homemade cake.

Lovely cottage, quiet location but close to Shaftesbury and other areas of interest.

We enjoyed our stay in Dairyman's Cottage very much and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a base to explore this wonderful part of the country.

Dairyman cottage was a lovely clean, well equipped cosy retreat for our short stay in shaftesbury. It was ideally situated and we were made to feel very welcome by the owners. We particularly enjoyed the welcome tray of tea and yummy brownies, thank you Clive and wendy

Welcoming hosts. Lovely, fully equipped cottage with a luxurious feel to it. Both our child and our selves took great pleasure in spending time with the birds!

Clean, comfortable, well equipped cosy cottage, super location. Enjoyed the wildlife around including chickens and guinea fowl visiting for snippets each day. Spotted deer in the lanes when walking and driving. Central to lots of places of interest.

Feels immediatly at home, cosy warm place to enjoy the beautiful landscape. Lovely people.

Beautiful cottage in stunning rural location. Well thought out and well equipped. The fresh flowers and cake were a lovely surprise!

We spent a blissful week in the Dairyman's cottage. It was clean, cosy and comfortable.

The most comfortable, homely and welcoming holiday property that we have ever stayed at.

The care and attention taken by the owners was quite exemplary

The cottage was lovely, the location was great and the owners were very nice even when our 2 year old had an accident while in bed. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking to get away from it all and be in the middle of the fields with chickens outside your door waiting for crumbs in the morning. We all had a fantastic holiday

Beautiful cottage.

Cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings (car is a must)!

Beautiful cottage, the pictures don't do the cottage justice. Delightful welcome with homemade cake and Easter eggs for the kids. Great location with so many things to do within an hours drive and great places to eat for the family on your doorstep. Cannot wait to go back!

Open fire, bed very good a great nights sleepover all very happy with cottage. Only thing Wi Fi very poor could not pick up wi fi on any of our phones only place to get reception on laptop/tablet was in the bedroom upstairs which was inconvenient

* UPDATE * The WiFi package has been upgraded to offer a stronger signal strength.

A lovely short stay at the Dairyman's Cottage- a fresh baked cake welcomed us to a cosy cottage, as well as a field of sheep and Guinea fowl and hens running around much to the delight of our toddler. A very comfortable stay with easy access to a number of sights, close to the lovely little Shaftesbury and a further drive to Corfe, Swanage and Salisbury. A perfect holiday for a little family and great value for money- would highly recommend and no doubt will go back again.

A superb base from which to explore this delightful part of the country.

An ideal place to stay if you want to explore Dorset, Wiltshire, Bath and Somerset. The cottage has a spacious open-plan ground floor and two good size rooms upstairs. As a family of 2 adults and 3 children we really enjoyed staying at the cottage and although we didn't meet the owners the cake and tea they provided was most welcome!

The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It's much bigger than it looks in the pictures! We had a lovely week, it's a great base to explore the area.

A lovely cottage deep in the Dorset countryside surrounded by beautiful views. There is so much to see and do in the area, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Really good stay at the Dairyman's cottage - its a lovely barn renovation in a beautiful part of Dorset, close to some great woods and walks.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, comfortable cottage and would certainly consider staying again.

A beautiful bolt-hole in a fantastic part of the country ideally located for several historic towns and even close enough for a day trip to the coast. We thoroughly enjoyed the restful surroundings and the open fire. The owners were attentive without being intrusive and we really can't wait to go back to Dairyman's Cottage and the ducks ha ha!!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful country setting. Chickens to feed and sheep to see out of your bedroom window.

Met the owners of the cottage when we arrived. A lovely family, who were very helpful and friendly.

A lovely welcoming farm, in a beautiful area. A great place to relax.
