Lovely cottage in nice surroundings. A great base from which to see West Cornwall, very well presented and high standard of cleaning. The only downside is the proximity to the owners cottage - from all of the windows you feel visible (especially after dark) and not all have curtains or net curtains, and all of the outside areas are either directly visible from the owners windows, or require walking in view of. For many I'm sure not an issue, but if you want top be away from people this isn't a great choice.

Lovely peaceful setting, and good views. Very comfortable beds. Felicity the owner was friendly and helpful. Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday.

Minor issues:- Kitchen is VERY "bijou"! Oudoor clothes whirler is too stiff to erect.

A very cosy cottage in a peaceful location within easy reach of all the Lizard has to offer. Beautiful views to look at whilst sitting with a drink in the evening. Would definitely recommend .

Lovely peaceful location, very comfy beds. Had everything we needed for our holiday. Small but more than enough space for our family (with 2 teenagers). Easy to reach both North and South coasts.

Great location in rural setting so peaceful. Easy to travel to far South and Falmouth. Beautiful grounds and views from barn. Comfortable bed and clean property. Host was friendly and helpful.

Our second time here so we knew exactly what to expect! We always sleep very well in the zip-and-link bed.

Comfortable, warm, clean, well equipped kitchen (though please note no dishwasher), spacious bathroom and a good touring base for a whole variety of Cornish landscapes and attractions, especially the Lizard.

A very well-equipped and comfortable hideaway, with a spacious living area and efficient heating. Provided you have a car you are within reach of some of Cornwall's most spectacular coastline and interesting towns.

Feantastic stay. Felicity was a great host and gave us lots of helpful pointers on where to go / visit. We had our 8 month daughter with us - the space worked perfectly. The barn is a perfect base for exploring this area or Cornwall.

You mention there is a pub within walking distance of cottage and I assume you mean the New Inn which is no longer trading. The nearest is The Star at Porkellis which is very good and welcoming.

Thank you for your comments and for letting us know about the New Inn which is a real shame. It's great to hear that you found the Star Inn at Porkellis and we'll certainly add that to our details - we'd also recommend Wheal Dream just on the way back towards Helston (they do a brilliant carvery!). A good centre for exploring the Lizard and W Cornwall.

Wonderful Location, very clean, everything perfect

We love this cottage and this was our 10th stay. Very comfy and ideally located for the south and the Lizard.

This was our 6th visit to Manhay and we have looked forward to and enjoyed each of our holidays with Peter and in recent times , Felicity.

We, a family of 4, could not have chosen a better place to stay for our week in Cornwall!!

Delighted with our second stay at the barn - very cosy and a real ‘home from home’.

Felicity made us feel very welcome. A great host and nothing too much trouble.

The fact that this is our eighth visit speaks for itself. A lovely cottage in an excellent location.

Great location and a beautiful cottage with all mod cons. The house sitters were wonderful and made our stay so welcoming. Stunning views and the most comfortable beds! Thank you!

The cottage was more than we expected and it felt like home the moment we stepped into the cottage. It was very clean. The kitchen was more than fully equipped. Could have cooked a three course meal if we wanted to. Felicity was very welcoming and thought of everything one might need to spend a lovely time at the cottage. She even had extensive information regarding things to do in and around the area (maps, travel guides, etc.)

Super barn, very clean and cosy and the owner was very helpful.

Lovely and clean . Felicity was very friendly helpful and welcoming . Well situated for Lizard , Minack Theatre and Falmouth .

A lovely modern cottage with a quirky upside down layout and and interesting glass floor panel. Helston is a great location for seeing the west of Cornwall. Cottage handily placed near town but far enough away to be quiet and experience great views of the countryside. Felicity was a great host she was there if needed and we loved watching her cats roam the countryside

Ideal location, very comfortable and highly recommended. We are repeat visitors and will continue to be so.

The Lower Manhay Barn was peaceful, relaxing with lovely accommodation. In an ideal location to visit so many places in Cornwall, ie. The Lizard, Helford River, Porthleven, St Michaels Mount and many, many more. Would not hesitate to book again and recommend.

We had a fabulous stay at Higher Manhay Barn, the barn was well set up for us, a family of 4 with two 6 year old boys and is in a fabulous location to explore all Cornwall has to offer. The owner, Felicity, was there to greet us when we arrived and talked us through details of the cottage. The bottle of wine, teabags, biscuits and milk that had been left for us upon arrival were just the start to our holiday we needed after our long journey! A great touch. We loved it here and hope to be able to return next year to explore parts of Cornwall we didn't get to see this time around!

Lovely welcoming cottage, warm, well equipped and very well looked after. In a good position for visiting many parts of Cornwall.

Excellent stone barn conversion set in peaceful surroundings. Comfortable with living accommodation on 1st floor enjoying great views. Easy access to lots of tourist attractions. Add to this the housekeeper who is knowledgable about the area/property and very helpful and friendly.

Lovely comfortable barn in a great location, very quiet and remote - great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. All of far Western Cornwall within easy reach.

Cottage was well presented, equipped and scrupulously clean. Owner Peter achieved the right balance between being friendly/helpful and discrete despite close proximity. Situation of cottage outstanding. Really an excellent base from which to explore this area of Cornwall.

We love the cottage and its location which is why we come back year after year

Excellent location, warm, comfortable and well appointed.

The cottage exceeded our expectations. Peter the owner was very friendly and welcoming. We were left a bottle of wine to greet us plus milk and tea on arrival. Comprehensive information pack and booklets about surrounding area were helpful in planning our days out. A huge basket of logs and kindling to keep the log burner going all week was also included as well as fresh flowers. We were sorry to leave.

Very comfortable, with everything we needed close to hand.

Great owner, lovely place.

We found this cottage one of the cleanest we have stayed in. The welcome from the owner was warm, the cottage well equipped.

Could not fault the cottage which was very comfortable and well equipped. Also in a great location for sightseeing and visiting attractions. Thoroughly enjoyed a restful week in Cornwall - would highly recommend it.

Excellent accommodation, location, quality and host!

Perfect base for visiting Cornwall. Nice and quiet but within easy access to nearby Helston. Owner was accommodating and friendly.

Lovely and quiet yet so easy to reach our favourite places such as The Lizard area, St Ives and Mousehole area.

Attractive, well-appointed, comfortable cottage in peaceful rural although accessible location. Warm and thoughtful welcome.

We have booked many cottages over the years both in Cornwall and France and rarely feel that we would like to return. Higher Manhay Barn is an exception to this. We look forward very much to returning.

A fantastic and spotlessly clean high quality cottage in a peaceful location yet within easy reach of the coast and all towns. Peter was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the lovely holiday, we hope to return soon.

Lovely, comfortable cosy cottage. It has everything you need and a great base for exploring Cornwall. Had a wonderful stay, was sad to leave.

This cottage is lovely and in an excellent location. If is only a few minutes away from Helston with all its shops and supermarkets, and it is easy to get across to Falmouth, down to the Lizard or up to St Ives. Altogether a very flexible location.

This cottage is very clean, well equipped and in a lovely location. Ideally located for a quiet relaxing break

Peter made us very welcome and we would go back
