We had a wonderful week in this lovely cottage for two. Beautiful countryside, peace and quiet. The pub in St Neot was dog friendly.

Cottage more than exceed expectations, lovely location with stunning views, ideal location for touring this part of Cornwall or just a quiet get away from it all holiday, very pleasant and friendly hosts, couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Absolute Gem, property is cosy and comfortable. The owners were welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area and history of the farm. Our dog loved it in the garden as its enclosed, and outside of the property there are so many beautiful walks to do. The must do walk is a ten minute walk to the round stone house on the property, absolutely amazing and so interesting. Spiritual amazing property can't fault it.

We really enjoyed our week at West Barn. The Owner Nick was extremely friendly & helpful which made all the difference. He very kindly let us have some surplus eggs which was a real treat & .

The Property was lovely & exactly as I had imagined it would be. It has lovely views from the dining room windows & is very quiet and peaceful. It is in a beautiful area & well positioned to explore both South & North Cornwall. We recommend a visit to Siblyback Lake - It is great for walking, has a lovely cafe & also you can book to go out on the lake to participate in various Water Sports.

A wonderful place to stay in rural Cornwall. Exceptionally helpful and friendly owners Nick and Jenny, who sorted our wifi, gave us excellent directions and made us feel very welcome. Although rural, West Barn is within easy driving distance of both coasts and inland attractions such as The Lost Gardens and a number of NT properties. We ate in Fowey and Padstow restaurants, and the kitchen was well equipped for our own culinary efforts. We loved it and hope to return in better weather!!

We loved the amazing views from the cottage. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we were greeted with a very welcome bottle of red wine and a basket of freshly laid eggs the next morning. West Barn was an oasis of tranquility, a very welcome retreat after the difficult 16 months that we have all endured. The location is very rural, the benefit being that you are surrounded by nature. There are some lovely walks from the property including a short trek on the owners land to some really interesting remains of Bronze Age settlements. Be prepared, the access road to the farm is very narrow and there are some very narrow lanes to navigate in the area.

If remoteness, tranquility, walking and nature are your thing, then this cottage is definitely for you. It is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. Be prepared to drive down a lot of narrow country lanes though.

A lovely cottage, well equipped & in a great location both for the scenery & for visiting surrounding areas.

West Barn was exactly as described (better actually). Very comfortable, spotlessly clean, fantastic views; roomy for the 2 of us and our border terrier. Nick and Jenny were great hosts, the cottage is very private, but they welcomed us and were available if needed. Loved the dining and seating area on top floor...we never tired of the views. Enclosed garden really good for a dog. Location great for walking. Look forward to returning.

West Barn is in a beautiful location and we loved our stay. Thank you to the hosts for the welcome wine and also for the coffee. The cottage was comfortable, cosy and bright. The outside spaces were cleverly secluded with visits from the goats and hens and lovely sunny spots to seat and read or eat. The moorland walks straight from the door were great for us and the dog and the cottage is very pet friendly. We were very happy with our choice and would highly recommend.

West Barn is located in beautiful countryside; very comfortable and great for exploring both north and south coasts as well as Bodmin Moor.

Beautiful, spacious, homely cottage in a lovely location. We enjoyed a relaxing week and really felt at home. The owners Jenny and Nick are very friendly and helpful and respect your privacy. The lanes are narrow but we did not have any problems. We have stayed in several cottages over the years and in our opinion this is the best yet.

We found the London Inn at St Neot very welcoming and enjoyed an excellent meal there.

Had a fantastic stay at this wonderful place. Just what was needed, peace and quiet and away from the everyday craziness of ‘normal’ life. The cottage was perfect and exactly as described on the website. The countryside surrounding the cottage was beautiful, gorgeous views, birds, walks, peaceful and lots of wild flowers. Also can’t forget the Pygmy goats, which kept us entertained during our stay there. Definitely recommend this place and would love to return one day.

Super property in an idyllic location ideal for the current climate. Charming and knowledgeable owners. Loved it!

Excellent cottage in a rural location , very spacious with a lovely enclosed garden. Very welcoming and friendly owner.

Spacious and well equipped. Wonderful underfloor heating and loads of hot water. Beautiful surroundings, very quiet and peaceful. Good dog walking around the property. Interesting historical site

We spent a wonderful week at West Barn, the owners were very freindly and helpful. The garden was completely secure for our dog and we had a perfect holiday.

We found the cottage to be as it looked in the pictures hence were not disappointed. A lovely place for two, to get away from busy lives. Would recommend to friends. Owners very friendly, helpful & informative. Ideal if you have a dog as the garden is secure.

This is a lovely converted barn in a very beautiful area. The owner is very friendly and helpful and if you’re looking for a quiet relaxed holiday then this is the place for you. I can’t recommend it enough, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at west barn

Just got back from a lovely week spent at west barn, the location is a little remote and this was perfect for what we wanted peaceful and relaxing . The cottage was very clean and comfortable and the views and local walks are excellent. The local pub at St neot the London inn is very friendly and the food is good, steak night on Thursday was good value 2 for £14.95

Country retreat away from everything !Soooo! Gorgeous.

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. The views are breathtaking and the peace and quiet is phenomenal. The lanes are tight but after a day or so you feel as though you have been driving them for years. A cottage and location well worth visiting.

The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Superb location. Lovely enclosed garden.

A lovely retreat with beautiful views, an absolute dream if you want a peaceful getaway

Water supply (from borehole) failed midweek , no water for 24 hours. Mixer temperature control on shower broken, bit too hot for showering. Paint flaking off bathroom ceiling, could do with some general decorating. Toilet seat needs refitting or replacing. Otherwise a lovely location and very comfortable.

We were so sorry to see that you had some problems with the water during your stay - we understand that this was due to a lightning strike! We hope the old adage of lightning not striking twice is true and this was just an unusual and unique event! The Owners were very grateful for your understanding and co-operation whilst they got this sorted out, and are also going to check out the loo seat. Tanya, Customer Support

The cottage was very nice, beautiful view and very quite. Good for couple like us who leave in big busy city. Away from traffic and having plenty space and ground for a walk. Very relaxing and definitely going back and stay there again.

West Barn is a thoughtful barn conversion in a beautiful and peaceful location with wonderful countryside views all around. You cannot help but relax when you spend time there.

We loved it ..

The owners were very friendly and gave us a map which you really need in this area. The property is situated in a very calm surrounding and you can definately relax.

We had some really nice days at West Barn. The cottage is well equipped and the owner was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The location is perfect for (dog-)walking and exploring the area of Bodmin moor, but also to visit some interesting places at the north- and south cost. We can highly recommend the cottage.

Perfect weekend getaway to enjoy superb walking on North and South coasts of Cornwall and the Moor. Heaven for dogs.

We liked the barn very much, found it spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. The owner welcomed us and explained local walks etc and then left us undisturbed. The cottage is also some distance from the owner's home, so quite private.

We thought the sofas and TV would be better on the mezzanine to take advantage of the wonderful views and the dining area moved downstairs.

Get rid of the framed cartoon of the 'drowning' people in the bedroom!

A good position to visit Bodmin Moor and both coasts.

A truly peaceful and relaxing stay. West Barn is situated in an idyllic spot with views of the tranquil rolling hills. Also plenty of countryside to explore on foot, with rivers and gorges nearby. We also discovered the Beard lichen in abundance covering some trees entirely - a sign of pure air.

A lovely cottage in a perfect position. Plenty of space in the cottage and a choice of two areas to sit in or eat al fresco. Very friendly and helpful owners, the perfect place to retreat to after a day out. Quiet and peaceful.

The cottage seems to be very nice, the way it was presented on the photos is very pretty. The location in cornwall - we would say in the heart of cornwall - was perfect for our first holidays there. The distance to the westcoast / Atlantic ocean and the distance to the channel is roundabout the same. We wanted to walk with our dog on the coast path, visit locations. And the way to different starting points and sightviews seems to be short from the cottage nearby St. Neot (Tintagle, Land´s end, Lizard Point, Whitesand Bay, Looe, Polperro, Mevagissy, The lost gardens of heligan, Mt. Edgcumbe, Lanhydroke, Newquay .... so many locations we ´re looking for). And: We had great holidays!!! In a wonderful country, in a very nice cottage located in the countryside, with friendly and helpful owners. Everything was perfect!

A lovely property with beautiful views and tranquility. Just make sure you are happy with driving down Cornwall lanes....these were some of the narrowest we have come across. West Barn is definitely a place we would visit again, hopefully when the sun also decides to come and stay!!
