This was our second visit to Gwennap View & again the house exceeded expectations. In this strangest of years, our break to Mullion was very welcome. The bonus was having, what felt like a true home from home. We look forward to visiting again and would definitely recommend Gwennap View as a good, comfortable base.

The cottage is lovely and comfortable, with a beautiful sea view from the back deck. The cottage windows are large and allow for sunset viewing in the evening. The location is fantastic for exploring Cornwall, and there’s a walk from the cottage to a beautiful sandy cove that doesn’t get too crowded. The cove is perfect for a beach day or a swim. It’s also an easy short walk to the pub and the town centre. There’s not really a good market in town, but the nearest Sainsbury is about a 15 minute drive. The main issues we had were a lack of supplies on our arrival - no laundry detergent, no dishwashing detergent, only one bin liner which we were instructed to use for rubbish collection by mid-week, without another one provided. A limit of 2 toilet rolls per toilet. No salt, pepper or sugar in the kitchen, so be prepared to bring your own. The detergents were provided after I requested them, but the office would not supply any more bin liners or toilet roll. I had to go out and buy these necessities. The house also could use an outdoor hose to rinse wet suits or feet after the beach. The welcoming biscuits are a nice touch, but a good stock of supplies and equipment like this would be even more thoughtful and should be included, given the price. Other than these issues, however, I would recommend this property for a Cornwall holiday.

Lovely place to stay . Very convenient for coast path walking Shops walking distance Happily revisit sometime in the future

Spacious, comfortable and clean bungalow with secure garden for dog. Had a wonderful holiday, easy access to mullion village but in a peaceful area. We were lucky to have lovely weather, what a beautiful area the lizard is. We hope to visit again. Thanks to the lady who keeps it tip top.

A wonderful cottage with everything you could possibly need, our toddler loved it! Brilliant location for accessing the Lizard and some lovely beaches. We'll be coming back.

The drive is really a steep hill and we packed outside as we could feel bottom of car scrapping underneath! I know it is mentioned but in the picture it doesn't look as bad , The road is empty to park outside so it didn't bother us .

Thanks for your review of Gwennap View. We're sorry that you found the drive a little steep for your vehicle but pleased that you were able to find plenty of parking space in the quiet road outside. Alison, Customer Support

Overall a lovely, warm comfortable bungalow, beautiful towels, bed linen and equipment Good view of sunsets, excellent information on notice board and in folder, especially emergency info. Local information also very helpful

The drive in unsuitable for parking on... steep and no low gutter access

Thanks for sharing your thoughts - the driveway is short and steep so we do draw attention to this in the description, but we've found it fine for parking with an average car. There is also a garage for a medium-sized vehicle. As an alternative, on road parking is possible in some local areas and there is a village car park a short distance away (near the pub) which operates on a donation basis if you'd prefer. Perfect location for beach activities and village

We have had a wonderful week at Gwennap View. The property is ideally located in the village of Mullion with all the necessities within walking distance. The bungalow itself surprised us all. The standard is excellent with comfy furnishings, decorated in subtle shade making the house inviting and comfortable. Everything you could need for your holiday can be found within the house I including loo paper! The little touches such as cut flowers, milk, bread and biscuits meant we could have a cuppa & relax after the journey. Gwennap View is a little gem and a true home from home to which we look forward to returning.

Beautifully clean and spacious cottage where 3 “mature” ladies felt very comfortable and at home.

Great value for money, and excellent location close enough to walk to several beaches and perfect for a holiday with mans best friend (woof)

The property has a lovely feel to it. It's like a home from home.

The bungalow was very clean & the kitchen appliances were clean & easy to use. the view from the decking is amazing & a sun trap. there was a useful local guide for walks & information on the local inns & Cornwall curry company which is well worth going for. would be more than happy to return for another holiday here.

The sea view was such a treat. The location was very peaceful with mainly just seagulls to listen to! The village is really friendly and we enjoyed their scarecrow festival weekend. Having a short walk to the coast was perfect, so beautiful.

Nice cottage with a beautiful view of the ocean. Very well located for coast path (cliffs), South and West Cornwall. We had a wonderful week and really enjoyed the area.

A dog friendly property in a fantastic location for exploring the southern Cornish coast.

What a lovely comfortable home, fully equipped with everything you need. Great for dogs, like a home from home, thank you for letting us stay.

Recommend the curry night on a Tuesday and Thursday Lots of information in house very useful Had wonderful weather but if it hadn't plenty of books and dvds and comforts in bungalow to keep us occupied. Beautiful flowers left for us and milk and cookies great after 6 hour journey. Thank you had a fantastic week would recommend and definitely love to re visit

Perfect place for holiday: nice cottage and village for the rest. We will be back there again.

We had a lovely stay in Gwennap View. It is a very spacious bungalow, well appointed and has great views. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The garden isn't fully dog proof and a fairly energetic or determined dog would get out fairly easily we felt. Our Cocker Spaniel would have made short work of the fencing if he'd had the chance! We would definitely consider staying here again though as it is good value for money and a lovely area to be in.

Thanks so much for your review - we're delighted you had a lovely stay. The garden is enclosed on all sides, but we never guarantee that a garden is going to be fully dog proof for the reasons you've identified - a very determined four-legged friend would find a way out of the most secure garden if he really wanted to! It's great to hear that you'd stay again, and we look forward to seeing you then. Tanya, Customer Support

Excellent location - within walking distance to local shops, pubs and restaurants. Plenty to do on the lizard peninsular, so much so we will have to return again. Would high recommend this property.

Perfect place for a great holiday

Clean, comfortable with extra touches that made the holiday more special.

Great property if you have a dog with you, the garden is dog proof and the cottage is light , spacious and airy. Plenty of room for your dog to feel settled and an excellent utility area to put them if wet.

We're delighted you (and your dog!) had a great time. The garden is enclosed, and it's helpful to know that your dog couldn't get out - but we should point out that this doesn't mean that it will be escape-proof for all pets, as some are very determined and could probably escape from any garden should there be enough incentive (rabbits, cats, the lure of freedom to investigate all those lovely new smells...!). Lovely bungalow. Spacious, very clean and well equipped. Local beaches not dog friendly but some good dog friendly beaches withing 10 miles. Ideal spot for a peaceful relaxing holiday even in the rain. Would certainly go there again.

Thanks for your review, and it's great to see you had a good holiday. A lot of beaches have a seasonal restriction so that dogs are not allowed from Easter to October - Polurrian and Poldhu Cove have this restriction, but Mullion Cove (approx a mile away) is dog-friendly all year. For more detail on dog-friendly beaches, have a look at Tanya, Customer Support

Very comfortable beautiful bungalow. Prime location for beautiful beaches perfect for all ages .

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in this superb property, and I can say we have never been in a holiday let as good and spacious as this one previously.

Highly recommend excellent place to stay. Loved the views from the deck. Garden safe for the dogs.

Excellent bungalow. Highly recommend. Peaceful, quiet, walking distance of 2 beautiful coves, harbour, chocolate factory. Easy access to all main tourist spots as well. Decking and garden terrific. Very private.

We all had a wonderful break. Cottage was spacious and comfortable, well maintained and perfect location. Our 2 bassets loved the many walks and beaches but also enjoyed the garden. A must for everyone were the trips to Roskillys ice cream parlour!! My daughter would throughly recommend the local stables as her beach ride in her words was truly memorable.

Good holiday property clean, warm, well equipped, garden safe for dogs and close to village facilities.
